This school is absolutely terrible. I was in the esthetics program full time this year, there is many problems within the school, disgusting towels, a steamer caught on fire. I addressed these issues to the school. it was never changed or addressed. I was told that if we kept addressing the issues within the school I would get terminated. Stephanie is a terrible esthetician instructor, she does not follow the pivot point lessons, she gets off of topic, cries to the students, spends a lot of time out of class. Those issues were also addressed. This school does not care about any of the issues that the students address to the administration. It is a cult. they are all family. I have heard some terrible and nasty things come out of most of these peoples mouths. It took me forever to get my license after graduation. If I took any questions about missing hours, graduation date, or Klass app. Nikki would tell me she doesn't know. One time I was even told to get out of her office. She had a terrible attitude even if you walked in and didn't even say anything yet. she was already sighing and giving you a dirty look. Klass app was never accurate and no one ever updated it so you never knew

Nail tech classes are amazing thank you paul mitchell for a wonderful healthy experience! Even though there is I read complaints about the hair school but people must understand your coming to a school were we are students in training so most try to come for a cheap cut, dye or style, a cheap nail deal , or cheap massage is not the place for it so dont come here expecting some america top model make over , it's a school -It's technically practice for them and if you like your stylist u can stick w/that person until they graduate & keep in contact w/ them after they graduate & move on just like all the other classes as a nail tech or for skin Care so give them some grace you know what you sign up for walking in. overall the school is amazing & people are so nice I passed my test to for making my dreams come true , being so understanding & shout out to all staff & teachers you guys are amazing the place is beautiful & garden city area makes it even better ty again

My hair didn’t come out the way I wanted. I showed a picture of what I wanted. Honey blonde overall color. The instructor told me it looks like highlights. When i questioned why my hair had more brown in it. Sindy stated “I’m just doing what they told me to do”. She got the instructor and she said it’s gonna be more blonde and the brown was gonna be covered. She barely spoke to me and didn’t tell me she was leaving to let it sit. She just grab her phone and sat near the hair dryers. When I was done I had four different colors in my hair. Teacher said good job and told me she wanted to see how my hair would take with the bleaching. I know I’d have multiple appointments to get to honey blonde. I didn’t want highlights. I thought they would understand a photo. Worst experience of my life and I loved that school. $55 for my hair . And imma have to fix. Below is what I got and what I asked for

Our daughter recently graduated from the Paul Mitchell School in Cranston, Rhode Island, and we truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience. My husband and I had the opportunity to visit the school ourselves, and seeing the environment firsthand was incredibly meaningful. Watching the students interact, observing the professionalism, and experiencing the genuine care shown to our daughter made everything feel even more special. The level of support she received throughout her education helped her grow not only in her skills, yet also in her confidence. A special thank you to Nikki, who was our first connection through financial services, for making the process smooth and welcoming. We are also deeply grateful to Ashley, the Head of School, for her leadership and warmth, and to teachers Tracy and Dao for their dedication and encouragement. The front desk team. We highly recommend the Paul Mitchell School in Cranston to anyone looking for a positive, encouraging, and professional education experience. ✨💛

I'm very picky when it comes to getting my hair done. I've been to 2 professional salons in the past who didn't actually listen to what I wanted, so I figured I'd just let my natural hair color grow out. I decided recently I wanted my hair colored again, and wasn't sure where to go based on past experiences. I decided to give Paul Mitchell a try - I'm not going to lie I was hesitant, because what I wanted was chunky black low-light and blonde highlights (so its not an easy dye job), and the students are still learning. I am beyond impressed with how my hair came out by Paige (with the help of her fantastic instructor). Paige was friendly, attentive, and the end result was exactly what I was looking for!
