When I visited I just had to pay my respects to Patsy Ann, who will be remembered for her undying love for her owner. I'm glad her statue on the dock is so easily reached by cruise visitors so more people can learn about her. I knew about her before arriving but enjoyed reading her story posted nearby. It warms my heart to think of her.

Before I went,I had a Wow moment, I read up about Patsy Ann ,found out that she made friends with everyone! I also found out that one of our Artists from New Mexico had made the Bronze Statue, I prepared excited to met her, I gathered a few hairs from my dogs and turned them over to the museum and hugged her, had pictures with her. I want to celebrate one of my DAV husband and my 48th Anniversary with her in the picture! We miss one of our dogs recently passed away along with my Veteran Dad who was Stationed in Nome, but came to Junea constantly,I want to bring their pictures to remember them!

We recently visited Juneau and spotted this statue on our way back to the cruise ship. The statue of Patsy Ann and accompanying story are a wonderful way to keep her memory alive. Sounds like she was an incredible dog! We enjoyed learning this bit of Juneau history.

We found this gem on the way back to our ship. This sculpture and the story are very touching. It would have been great fun to have met Patsy Ann, but getting to know about her was nice.

Sentimental meaning. She is located at the end of the boardwalk at the end of town with Red Dog Saloon. We got to visit on a beautiful sunny day.
