Across Illinois, holiday weekends and summer book out weeks ahead, so reserve early and ask about pickup windows, which can be shorter on Sundays. Pet sitters and walkers should be insured and bonded; ask for references and a meet-and-greet first. Check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 6:30 am–6:30 pm. Took my puppy to get retested after not being there for a few months. The lady at the front desk took his leash off his harness and put it on his collar so she can have a better handle on him. Once on of their dogs came out, my dog did get over excited and barked. Bark wasn’t aggressive and the way she pulled him away was unnecessary. She was aggressive with him. I was in shocked that she handled him that way and didn’t have words for it. All she said was yeah he failed, sorry he failed and walked away. Didn’t say we can try again some other time or any further explanation. Just gave up on him. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Glad I found a better day care that is willing to give him a chance.

Something changed recently. Is it too many dogs or not enough staff or both? My dog loved this place and the staff was great. However, in recent months, he was bitten by other dogs not once, not twice, but three times. (Shame on me for not pulling him out after the 2nd one.) I can only assume a lack of human eyes on too many dogs is the reason. Time to look elsewhere, once he's healed..... In response to the owner: I'm reasonably sure other dogs growl while at daycare. I'm also reasonably sure my dog isn't the only one that has been bitten by another dog. He went there for almost 3 years with no issues. Again, something changed recently. I stand by my assertion that this place is overcrowded and/or under staffed.

My puppy was “approved” lol, however it was nothing but trouble. One issue after another. Always something with them. Not to mention one illness/virus after another. We left. Haven’t had one issue or illness at our new place. I do not recommend bringing your dog here.

Love this place & so did my previous dog and current dog. Great training and kind caring staff! I drive out of my way (though moving) to take Blizzard here for doggy daycare. He gets super excited, stays safe, and never a problem.

My dog Lucy just loves going to Pals for Pups! Patty and staff are just excellent. All i have to do is say "want to go see you're friends " and Lucy heads straight for the door tail wagging. They're great for playcare for the day when I'm downtown or for boarding when I travel. I know my girl is well taken care of and having a good time.
