Dr. Randall is extremely approachable, knowledgeable, and cares about the health of my pup in the wellness check up visit. Front desk service is always welcoming.

Opelika Animal Hospital gave us the sweetest addition to our family back in February. We absolutely adore our girl Muffin, and the staff could not have been kinder to us when we came to pick her up on a whim. They stayed open later and gave her a bath for us on her way out.

CORPORATE GREED OVER AN ANIMAL'S LIFE: Deceptive Staff and Cruel Reneging PLEASE, if you love your pet, stay far away from Opelika Animal Hospital. After taking over $20,000 from us to care for our 7-year-old Pitbull mix, Excel, over the last five years, this corporate-owned clinic left him to suffocate on their floor because of absolute greed and staff deception. Our dog was in severe, life-threatening respiratory distress-wheezing, coughing violently, hacking up foam, and unable to stand. We have nationwide insurance through PetsBest that covers 80% of his care, which includes an emergency direct-pay hardship form that wires the covered balance within 3 to 5 days. For weeks, the front staff neglected to send our dog's historical files to the insurance company, lying about the dates they sent them and telling us it was too much of a "hassle" to fill out. When they saw our physically limp dog into the clinic today, the veterinarian, Dr. Randall, looked at him, heard what her staff had put us through, and promised us on her word that she would accept our insurance form and treat him. Wiped out financially, I scraped together our last pennies, and my mother selflessly provided the re

Today I went into Opelika Animal Hospital to get my dog updated shots. When I walked in, it was 3 young ladies sitting there. One was counting cash and checks, one was at the computer writing stuff down, and one had just came in from outside and sat down. Nobody greeted me or acknowledged me at all. When the girl finally did say something, the first thing she asked was, “Do you have an appointment?” No “Hey, how are you?” or anything. I’ve brought my dog here maybe 2 or 3 times, and honestly every time it’s the same type of experience. Staff never really acknowledges you. For me, that rubbed me the wrong way. If I’m bringing my dog somewhere for services, a dog who can’t talk, customer service and how you treat people matters. I will also say they are pretty expensive too. The last time I brought him there, I even paid for him to get a bath. When I got him back, he honestly smelled worse than when I brought him in. He smelled like a wet dog. Then they tried to tell me he urinated on himself while being bathed, which made no sense to me because he has never done that with his regular groomer or with me. Luckily, today the doctor was in surgery and they said I couldn’t be seen u

My wife and I brought in a stray Pitbull located in Opelika. One tech, performed an unauthorized x-ray of the dog, told us that the dog was pregnant with 7-8 puppies. When we went back to get the dog after the 7 day stray hold, we asked to see the x-ray. the staff was unable to provide a photo. spoke to the tech that performed the x-ray, she stated that she has lost the photo that was on her phone but swore that the dog was pregnant. We decided to take the dog in due to being told the dog was pregnant and OAH would had killed the dog due to it being a stray. A few weeks pass by and no puppies. We took the dog to our vet, Moore's Mill Animal Clinic. They performed an x-ray and it did not show ANY puppies. When we asked OAH for answers, they gave us the run-a-round, saying that they x-ray'd the wrong dog, fired the tech and tried to say that this dog birthed the puppies and ate them...OAH appears to not want to take responsibility of their actions and have yet to say sorry. Also, the actual vets, refuse to talk to us so we can get better or an actual answer. Never will I suggest this place to ANYONE for as long as I live!!!!
