Off Leash K9 Training Milwaukee/ Madison

We left our golden retriever, Captain, with Alex here in Milwaukee for the two week board and train program… Needless to say, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the consistent communication prior to the program, the detailed report cards (which my wife and I looked forward to each night on our vacation), and seeing the progress Captain has made from the videos and our short time from getting him… Night and day. We thought he was already in pretty good shape for a 10 month old puppy, Alex sharpened so many things, including how Captain rests. Being a golden, he has a lot of FOMO and would move or be annoyed if we wanted him to rest. We’re so excited to continue doing the training with Captain and do some pack walks with Alex in the future!!!

Fantastic experience with OLK9 - Laurie was amazing!! I chose this location for the 2 week board & train based on all of the great reviews on Google, and it did not disappoint. I was a little nervous at first leaving my puppy for such a long time, but the daily report cards with pictures and videos quickly put my mind at ease and assured me that Frankie was doing great and getting the training I didn't have the skills (or patience!) to give her. Laurie is an excellent trainer and was always available to me for questions during the training period, as well as follow up guidance once Frankie got home and started pushing her newly learned boundaries. I'm very happy with the results and I highly recommend OLK9!

I rescued my English Cream Retriever Chippy at age 4 who required a lot of training. I experienced major issues with him charging after loud vehicles and big trucks in a very aggressive manner, almost pulling me to the ground. I knew I had to take immediate action. I signed up for the two week board and train with Alex. Alex did an amazing job in building Chippy's confidence. There is great improvement with his behavior and now he also listens to basic commands. I feel more comfortable walking Chippy. I love that they have"pack walks" which are great to participate in to discuss any issues or concerns. You can tell the love Alex has for dogs and the knowledge and experience to train. I highly recommend Off Leash K9 training, you won't be disappointed.

Freckles and I just weren’t communicating. It’s amazing how much you forget about having a puppy after 10 yrs of not. I really loved the boarding and training. Freckles got consistency so she knows what to do even when I mess up. The daily report cards were full of so much information. Lessons for me for each command being taught, very useful insights into Freckles personality, how she reacted to what happened that day and of course the photos and videos were amazing to see. The communication before, during and after her stay are leaps and bounds more than I expected. We both are now in a much better place to continue learning and growing our relationship.

We got to have our dogs trained with Alex and couldn’t possibly recommend him enough to anyone and everyone! We have two huskies that are about 5 years old that really struggled with separation from each other, bad manners and were at a point where it was becoming unmanageable with a new baby home. Alex from the first consultation call was knowledgeable, asked a ton of great questions that we didn’t initially consider and gave us the opportunity to voice our biggest pain points. The detail in his daily report cards had us at the edge of our seats with excitement in reading about what our dogs trained on that day (and the photos and videos especially)! The whole time he had our dogs if we had questions he was responsive and helped us understand why certain behaviors may happen. Turnover day was incredible! We got to ask all the questions under the sun and feel confident about reuniting with our dogs. We could not believe how significant the improvement was already in just 2 weeks!! Alex was very thorough and really helped guide us through new interactions, how to handle the dogs, how to refocus them, etc! We left feeling extremely confident that we could have a successful transition
