Minneapolis is in Minnesota, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Minneapolis follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My dog just finished her 3 week board and train here and I can’t put to words how grateful we are for them. Our dog has a bite history and was extremely fear reactive with both dogs and humans. She had also been on anxiety medications for the past two years. We were at wits end and needed help figuring out how to give Macadamia a better life. Let me say, from the initial phone consult to the very end of her stay they were extremely knowledgeable and invested in Macadamia. The fact that they were never afraid of her, knew exactly what she needed, and helped cultivate goals alongside us to help us achieve the lifestyle with Macki that we wanted. We received daily updates with photos and videos, along with the sweetest notes from her incredible trainer. Macadamia worked mainly with Ethan, who gave us two private lessons and one go home lesson where we were able to ask questions and see her progress each week in real time. Helped us get some training as well! Ethan is an absolute gem and we would 100% recommend him as he was so loving and precious towards our girl! My only complaint… macki might love him as much as she loves us! We also received updates from other trainers that worked

My dog Sadie attended the 4 week board and train at NSFK9 and had Milo as her trainer. She made incredible progress especially with her general house manners. She is still dog reactive but it is more manageable and I am able to take Sadie on walks like I have always wanted. Important to note is that she is still dog reactive and a 4 week board and train can’t always fix your dog. It is so important to continue training and trust and commit to the work that has been done. What made us choose NSFK9 is their lifetime support program. So far they have followed through and supported Sadie as we navigate new and old problem behaviors. It has given me peace of mind that our money hasn’t gone to waste.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at K9SF North Star Dog Training! Maddie did an amazing job working with my dog, Mara, during her 3-week boot camp. The transformation has been incredible. Mara came home more confident, well-behaved, and responsive to commands. It was clear that Maddie genuinely cared about Mara and took the time to understand her personality while using positive, effective training techniques. I also appreciated the updates throughout the program, which gave me confidence that Mara was in great hands. Thank you, Maddie, and the entire K9SF North Star team, for all your hard work and dedication. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional, compassionate, and effective dog training!

We had an amazing experience with NSFK9! Our beautiful mutt Odie was (is) an excitable boy--positive, happy, enthusiastic, and reactive to bikes, buses, and kids, but mostly dogs. We had done what we knew to do for him, and had worked with other trainers in the past with mixed results, but we hadn't found a place that would help him learn the things he needed to learn--namely, to be calm, to self-regulate, and to look to us for guidance. We initially hesitated over sending him to a three-week program, but it was absolutely the right choice. Our trainer, Maddie, was amazing. She clearly loves working with dogs in general, and all the videos and pictures she sent us over the weeks showed how much she cared about Odie specifically. When we got a chance to meet up halfway through the training and compare notes, it was clear that what she saw about his habits and behaviors was what we had seen, too. She was able to meet him on his level and teach him news skills, especially around self-regulation and delayed gratification. The work that Maddie did with Odie built up his confidence so much he barely notices bikes or buses anymore, and definitely doesn't react to them, and she gave us cl

I recently had my dog Loki stay here for the 3 week Board and Train and couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment I dropped him off, the staff made me feel like my dog was in loving, capable hands. What sets this place apart is their daily report cards and pictures — every single day I received an update with sweet details about what my pup did, how he ate, played, and interacted, plus a few great photos that totally put my mind at ease. The training portion was equally impressive — they worked with him on manners and basic commands with patience and consistency. By the time I picked him up, I could already see a noticeable improvement in his behavior! The facility is clean, well-organized, and the staff clearly loves dogs. I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog there and appreciated the peace of mind that came with those daily updates. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch boarding and training with lots of love and communication! 🐶❤️
