Found the perfect fur baby here. The people that help you find a pet are very good, and explain everything that you need to know. Best way to get a pet is to adopt a shelter animal. Thank you all...

We took our beloved pup her to have her put down because she had tumors all over her body, she was 17-18 years old. We only chose here because we could not afford a vet so I knew going in we wouldn’t be able to stay for the process. I worked through that and was ok with it. When I called Tuesday July 21 to ask about being able to say goodbye the gal on the phone was very nice and said we could absolutely have a few minutes to say goodbye. What I was NOT expecting was to be put in a tiny room that looked like a a utility closet/holding area with 6 cages total. No seats. Very cold…had to stand and hold her. I felt so horrible, and had to leave. So I gave her a hug and kiss said I love you and they took her. Not the best experience to say goodbye to loved fur baby we had for so long.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Weld County Humane Society is an incredible organization that truly cares about both the animals they serve and the people who support their mission. One of the things that stands out most is their volunteer program. Whether you learn best through hands-on experience or detailed written materials, they provide excellent training and support. Their volunteer manuals are some of the most thorough and well-organized resources we’ve seen, making it easy for volunteers to feel confident and prepared. My daughter has volunteered with the organization, and we have been continually impressed by the kindness, professionalism, and dedication of the staff and volunteer coordinators. They do an excellent job helping volunteers find meaningful ways to contribute while ensuring both people and animals have a positive experience. Although we have never personally adopted from this location, we have seen firsthand how compassionate they are during difficult situations. A friend of ours had to surrender her late brother’s cat after it became clear the cat could not safely coexist with her own pet. The staff handled the situation with incredible grace, compassion, and understanding dur

I am writing this review to warn the public about the appalling conditions and deeply concerning practices at this facility. While they market themselves as a humane organization, our recent experience proved they are anything but. We brought in a stray puppy we had rescued, and taken in for a few months to get fully vaccinated, and basic-trained. Because our household was already at capacity, we surrendered him with the expectation that this facility would help find him a good home. We provided his medical records, bed, blanket, toys, food, and collar to ensure his comfort. We also paid an additional, mandatory fee to ensure we would be contacted if euthanasia was ever considered—a policy that, in hindsight, feels predatory. Within 24 hours of drop-off, we called to check on him, only to be told he was "insanely aggressive" and scheduled for euthanasia. When pressed for details, staff could not cite a single instance of biting, lunging, or physical aggression; they simply stated he "looked scary." This is a puppy who regularly interacted safely with other dogs and young children. It was immediately clear that the staff is completely unequipped to distinguish a terrified animal

I had a lovely experience with your staff adopting Marble yesterday. Special shout out to Emily, who made the adoption process amazing, and was so cheerful and informative. I so appreciate all the fun tips and resources included in our adoption packet. Marble now named Tony is settling in great and loving his new quiet and luxurious life. Thanks for all you do! You guys are rockstars!
