Mudpuppies Grooming On Lombard

My goodness I can’t speak enough praises about Midpuppies!! I have had my pomchi for 5 years, and tried about 3 other salons before I discovered them. They beat the others in both pricing and in the quality of work preformed. They are so kind, loving, and gentle to my girl. She is a rescue and used to be so scared, she loves the folks here! For my most recent appointment, I called them on a Friday at like 4:45 about an appointment and left a voicemail expecting them to contact me the following week. Nope! I was given a call, AFTER BUSINESS HOURS (like Ty sm for taking the time to help me when you are finished with your shift and could just go home!! That is so unbelievably kind!) and got me scheduled, two days later, for an appointment! It was a seamless experience and they were so kind. I believe Deadra is the gal who helped both make my appointment and groom my girl. She is so incredibly kind, helpful, and wonderful at her job! I thought she was the owner actually lol but she told me she was not. I hope the owner knows what a stellar employee they have on staff!! Deadra was very helpful with grooming my pup and even washed her collar and jacket during her appointment. Truly 10/10

Went in here with my dog margarita just for a quick nail trimming I live up the road seemed to convenient. Took them about three minutes pretty fast. My dogs nails came out all jagged and they clipped two of the nails way too short to the point where the nails are bleeding. Realistically, this is why I came to a professional so they would do a thorough and good job and not hurt my dog. Pretty frustrating.

Elizabeth did a wonderful job grooming our little guy- Sometimes he can become very agitated at the groomers, but he came out looking very dapper and was obviously in very experienced hands! Very quick too - only about two hours- which is so important for easily stressed dogs. He showed no obvious signs of distress or needing to decompress at home, so this was a good experience for him as well! We asked for a cut that would be easy to maintain after his upcoming surgery, and they delivered marvelously.

I’ve taken Daisy twice and they’ve done a fantastic job with her nails. She got a blueberry bath and she’s never smelled so great. They texted me a reminder for services today and it prompted me to want to make another appointment and also sing their praises here. My pup is a sweet girl but she’s got some leash aggression and the staff handles her amazingly despite being a little difficult.

We have taken our dogs here a few times and been pleased with the work done. This time, however, the groomer shaved our dog when we specifically asked for a sanitary sweep and an overall trim. We have a Pomeranian which is a double coated dog breed . We are now concerned about patchy regrowth and any potential consequences it may have to her temperature regulation. Her dewclaws also appeared to be trimmed to the nerve . This experience has been extremely frustrating and worrying. We will not come back and will not recommend.
