What vet isn't pricy? HOWEVER. They got me in for a same day visit, for my pet that I never brought there before, found out what was wrong, and gave VERY CLEAR nice detailed discharge instructions with explanations of what to look for, how to give the meds... Everything! Very much like an awesome human doctor appointment. Also the doctor was not pushy at all and explained her action plan thoroughly. So grateful!

I came to this vet several years ago with an emergency situation with two puppies from our litter. The emergency vet took excellent care of our pups, and called several times over the next few days to check in on them. He even offered to speak to their new families in the future if any problem continued to occur. More recently I brought in our cat who needed to be spayed. I was struggling with the decision to vaccinate for rabies and the vet took my thoughts into consideration and had a very in depth conversation with me about my struggles which I greatly appreciated. The price is also less than other clinics in town and the care and attention to detail is top notch. You won’t find a better vet in the North Star borough. I highly recommend this care team.

Our dog experienced a CCL tear, and the veterinarian demonstrated remarkable patience and kindness. She thoroughly addressed all of my inquiries, maintained a polite demeanor, and showed genuine concern for my dog's well-being. I am truly grateful to her and her team for all they did for Maple.

Clean environment and very friendly people. The vets are very thorough and want to make sure your pets are well and you're as educated as can be for the next steps. I had my puppy spayed and waited a long time for drop off. The front desk was apologetic and was attentive to us. There are some places I wouldn't rush, one of them being the animal hospital lol. When I met the nice vet after the long wait, I felt confident that my puppy would be in great care and she was. They have also seen our other pups and we've had a lot of good experiences 🐕

They've taken phenomenal care of my four cats. One is a senior with cancer, and the love and care that they've shown him has netted this clinic all my trust. My fur kids don't exactly like going, but I know they're always in good hands at this clinic. Edited: 4.22.2026 I want to share my love and gratitude for Mt. McKinley Animal Hospital. Dr. Vaughan has been seing my cats for years, one of which had GI Lymphoma. She was so compassionate through his whole journey. We tried every treatment she recommended. He had a wonderful, comfortable, spoiled two and a half years of life post diagnosis. When he was done fighting, we brought him in for a dignified and peaceful end. She made one of the hardest days of my life easier. Her and the staff we spoke to were so respectful and compassionate. We didn't feel rushed or pressured, just supported. Thank you for loving and caring for my boy until the very end.
