Mountain Paws Dog Training

We are so grateful to have found Mountain Paws Dog Training! We have taken two group classes and received some private trainings for our young lab. We have learned a lot and built up our communication skills with Trudi’s guidance. Our dog is totally enamored with Trudi as well, which is always a great bonus :) Previously, we had attended classes at some other facilities in town, but weren’t happy with some of the strategies and tools recommended. If you’re looking for positive reinforcement based training, Mountain Paws is the place to be!

Trudi has been incredible working with our dog, who is anxious and scared of just about everything. When Yoshi started Agility 1, she wasn’t able to complete any part of the course. Trudi truly met us where we were at and put in the extra time and effort to accommodate Yoshi’s needs. Now we’re in Agility 2, and Yoshi can complete full courses (unless she’s feeling a little mischievous that day!). That progress is entirely thanks to Trudi’s patience, expertise, and genuine care. She truly takes the time to understand each dog and their level of comfortability. We’re so grateful to be learning from someone who cares so much about her students!

More than 5 stars! We’ve had some great results from the team’s guidance here. Our rescue dog turned out to be super reactive toward other dogs and it was totally new for us to have to work with. Mountain Paws really helped our little guy learn how to focus and helped us on how to coach him on redirecting his attention during triggering situations. It’s something we have to constantly work on but we feel prepared that we have the right tools for training now. We’ve even been able to successfully foster multiple dogs as his behavior improves and he becomes more confident. I definitely recommend checking out the classes here!

We have now done AKC S.T.AR. Puppy class and Bow Wow Basics. We have had great instructors, including Trudi herself who owns the business. She is honest and helpful in coaching us puppy parents so we can raise puppies into respectful dogs. I strongly recommend you come here for your dog’s training! We will do more classes in the future

Trudy is the best trainer in town. We brought our girl Nala here for puppy class and have since taken every class following the next so far :) we will continue to take classes . Our girl has come a long way from the first class! Trudy is so patient and kind with her training and works with you until your pup gets it right. Classes are a blast and she does things at breweries with the dogs which is great! There’s a variety of class options which is amazing if you want to keep doing different classes. We’ve taken our other dog to a couple other facilities in the past when he was young and wish we would have found a Trudy sooner. I can’t recommend this place enough , especially because you can tell when an owner really cares about your dog and their progress. That speaks volumes ❤️ Thanks Trudy for your hard work and dedication to the dogs in your classes it means the world!
