We used Miller Heights for almost 3 months for day training, daycare, one-on-one sessions, and boarding. At first, things were mostly positive. As new puppy owners, Lindsay answered a lot of our questions and gave us advice that was helpful, so we felt good about bringing our puppy here. Over time though, communication became a consistent issue. Scheduling was often confusing, and we regularly had to follow up ourselves to confirm dates or figure out what was going on. Training was also frustrating. Lindsay clearly knows dogs, but communication and organization were lacking. The one-on-one sessions felt pretty disorganized, and we often left confused about what exactly our puppy was working on or what progress she was making. We ended up extending training because we didn’t feel like things were being communicated clearly or that we were getting what was advertised. Boarding is where we really started having concerns. We had boarded our puppy for two separate 2-night stays. After the first stay, she came home with two uneaten meals and nobody mentioned it. We only found out after getting home and checking her bag ourselves. The most recent 2-night stay was the final straw. Ano

We had an incredible experience with Miller Heights K9 Academy and their 4-week puppy development program for our puppy, Reggie. In just a few weeks, he built a strong foundation in social skills, desensitization, engagement, confidence, and problem-solving, along with crate and potty training. He also learned leash skills, recall, sit, down, place, stay, leave it, and polite greetings. What truly stood out was how quickly he generalized these skills! On his very first day home, we were already seeing everything come together. As a mom of a 6- and 3-year-old, having a puppy with this level of structure and training has made a huge difference in our day-to-day life. Watching how comfortable Reggie was working with Lindsey meant so much to us. We fully trust his well-being in their care and are so grateful for the foundation they’ve given him. We will absolutely continue using Miller Heights for daycare and boarding—forever customers here!

I recently became the owner of female golden doodle. We got her at 8 weeks, but I knew we needed a trainer, as I don’t even want to pretend like I knew what I was doing. We need our dog to be obedient and well trained. So, I set out looking and researching on trainers in my area. I put a post on a Facebook mom group and Lindsay from Miller heights was highly recommended. Now mind you, I got a ton of recommendations, but Lindsay really stood out to me. I had so so so many questions and Lindsay was the only one who sat on the phone with me for a hour or so and really answered everything I wanted to know. That’s what made me go with her company. Her passion for what she does and her taking the time out of her busy day to help me, without knowing if I’ll go with her company, really is what won me over. I signed up that next day and our girl went to her for training. To say I never seen a 4 month old puppy so well behaved is an understatement! She truly knows what she is doing and after we got her home from training, her line of communication is still open for any questions. She truly has been a god send for our journey with our new addition to the family! Thank you Lindsay, I’m so gra

We cannot say enough good things about Lindsay! Our puppy, Bear, is full of energy and goes to Miller Heights K9 Academy two times a week while we are at work. Lindsay is so calm and collected when handling Bear, which has in turn helped us so much at home when working with him to wait, sit, and stay. We will be boarding Bear during our honeymoon and wedding, and are so happy to know that he will be in the best hands while we are away!

Lindsay is a patient soul with both the dogs and their owners. She is very honest and tells it like it is. The animals absolutely adore and respect her. The training sessions she offers are amazing. She is always willing to answer questions when they arise even if the training has been completed some time ago. Our dog can’t wait for day care days when he can play with his friends and visit Lindsay. We are relieved to know that there is a safe and fun place we can take our dog if we need to board him. Do yourself a favor and invest in your dog and yourself with Miller Heights Canine Academy.
