Vets and pet-health businesses handle what a groomer cannot. General veterinarians and animal hospitals do checkups, vaccinations, dental cleanings, spaying and neutering and sick visits; emergency and 24-hour vets treat injuries and sudden illness at night and on weekends; mobile vets come to the house; rehab centers offer physical therapy, hydrotherapy and acupuncture; and pet pharmacies fill prescriptions and sell prescription diets. Groomers often spot skin problems, ear infections, lumps or overgrown nails first and will suggest a vet visit.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–4 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Flagstaff is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. Getting around Flagstaff is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Arizona's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My pups & I love Midtown. The office staff are awesome, vet techs are great & vets are all amazing! It’s a local business & their pricing reflects that and is very reasonable! They remember us whenever we come in even if it’s been 6 months or more…it feels like family. ❤️ Would highly recommend!!!!

I recently switched from another veterinary provider and had an excellent experience at Midtown. Everyone on the team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring toward my cats. They took the time to thoroughly review my cats' medical history, listened carefully to my concerns, and answered all of my questions. I appreciated their attention to detail and the compassionate care they provided. I’m very happy with the switch and highly recommend Midtown.

My dog Midge has a deformity in her back that has caused chronic UTI’s and pain. As a French Bulldog - we have gotten a lot of scoffs or rolled eyes from vets in the past because her issues are common in the breed. But the folks at Midtown have always helped us with care and kindness, knowing it’s not Midge’s fault she is deformed due to bad breading. They have offered her the best care, which has allowed both of us years of comfort and kept Midge partying despite her disability. My trust in the vets at Midtown grows each year we work with them. We have really found a home there 🩷

I highly recommend Midtown Animal Clinic! I adopted my dog Duck in December and took him in for his new pet exam and they were able to get him in that same week! They were thorough in checking him and explained several things to look out for with his health in the future! He was also very nervous about going to the office so we set up some victory visits and now he runs up to the door, smiling, and tail-wagging every time we have an appointment! They are always so kind and are willing to work hard to make sure your babies feel the best they can! So glad I found such a great provider for my baby!

My BooBear Moses dog had broken his toenail the other day, really bad! I've been hearing that Midtown Vet Clinic is amazing, so I called them the next morning. They were the sweetest staff, AND were able to get him in pretty much right away!! I was shocked, as it has usually taken me several days to get into a place, even I am an established patient. The Drs and assistants took the very best care of my boy. I'm so grateful for the service! Thank you guys, Moses is a happy happy boy now 💜
