In New Orleans, daycares and kennels usually ask for proof of rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccinations and a short temperament test before the first stay. Across Louisiana, holiday weekends and summer book out weeks ahead, so reserve early and ask about pickup windows, which can be shorter on Sundays. Pet sitters and walkers should be insured and bonded; ask for references and a meet-and-greet first. Check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

New Orleans is in Louisiana, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in New Orleans peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. I’ve been going for a year plus. I was almost 5 min late picking up my pup today and got charged for a full day. Greedy policy from owners, especially when you need to give them several allowances. I’ve shown up for approved appointments before to drop off my dog and the Day Care wasn’t open during business hours, with no warning. Waited outside with others and we all had to replan our days. Edit; I did admit to being late, if you read my post. I was late once in the year plus I’ve worked with y’all. I was not aware there was a timer. I waited a while getting in because I wanted to give the anxious pup before me space to go alone. The owner thanked me. I now understand the character in which you run your business and reciprocal generosity you provide your customers. Edit edit: this was a 3 star review. I put it down to 1 star after the (now deleted) original reply.

I was anxious about boarding my 2 pups for their first time, but based on their reaction upon my return, it’s obvious that they really enjoyed their stay! They were happy to see me, but obviously relaxed and not stressed in the least. The reservation process was a breeze, and communication was smooth. We have another reservation upcoming and I feel confident that they’ll be in good hands again.

I can tell that this facility is well run and the staff care about the animals and care for them well. However, I’m giving this review to caution anyone with a particularly anxious dog considering this doggy daycare. They don’t really have the space to let dogs be alone for an adjustment period. My dog has separation anxiety and has done ok at another daycare (in Alabama, unfortunately)— but they had a separate yard for the dogs who needed a bit of space, and several staff— one of whom sat with my dog for a long time until he was calmer. This facility doesn’t really have the capacity for that (they only have one small yard space and two staff when I was there), and I don’t blame them for it, but it might be worth exploring other options if you have a pup who needs an adjustment period! They were understanding about our dog’s anxiety but we had to come get him after only about 15 minutes because they didn’t have the space/capacity to let him be on his own or in a quiet space for long and he became too worked up for them to safely keep him there. Again, reviewing to give information, not to talk down about this place. I’ve worked in a few doggy daycares and understand limits on spa

Everyone that works here is so incredibly nice, helpful and you can tell they really love their job and enjoy taking care of dogs. The first time I brought our pitbull puppy here I was under a ton of stress because my mom had just had a medical emergency and I had to fly to MI at very last minute notice, I called less than an hour before they closed, I got them the vaccination information from my vet and dropped our puppy off right before close, but the girl I spoke with on the phone (Chelsea, I think?) didn't rush us at all and even mentioned that there was no need to rush because they would be there for a bit anyways closing up. Overall this place is wonderful, and our puppy loves playing with the other dogs!

Such a great place, felt more like leaving my pet with a friend than a daycare. Also I have fluffy white boy dog and hate when he gets cut like a girl. The owner asked a lot of questions to ensure he came home looking his best. I am so please with his cut and the level of care my pet receives at mid city.
