So I’m new to the new Rochelle area , I try to find a new groomer something close by , someone recommended Mia’s ! Very easy to make appointments immediate availability, my dog was a lil matted so ask for a complete shave down as I have a toy poodle and I know the drill . Now the meet up was outside his apartment building I already felt like something was off but he showed me the van and assured that my baby was in good hands . 2 and a half hours later and 200$ later my dog was returned to me looking completely dirty still , poop in her behind, no ears cleaned , no nail trim , and haircut 🥹 I will attach photos , please please learn from my mistakes do not ever ever book with these people ! Oooo and when contacted he kind of laughed it off and said I have to comb her out myself . I literally argued him down demanding he fix this issue, on a Friday he says he can come on Monday and fix just her face . Of course I accept. Update as the days go by and I look at my dog it literally makes me sick to my stomach so I contacted him with a video expressing that I had never experienced something like this and I don’t even feel comfortable taking my baby back to him ! I asked for a partial r

I didn’t love my experience. Booking was easy and the groomers arrived on time, but the professionalism and customer service were disappointing. My dog was matted due to being in heat for a few weeks and picking at her skin, which made brushing difficult. I explained this to the groomer before the appointment. I was quoted $120–$150 plus a $40 travel fee for the mobile option, but at pickup, I was charged $160 for the haircut plus the $40 fee. While the $10 difference isn’t huge, it’s still outside the quoted range. The haircut itself wasn’t great. I had to trim a few uneven spots myself afterward, and her face was still dirty from breakfast earlier that morning. What really upset me, though, was the lack of professionalism in how the situation was handled. The groomer made comments implying I don’t care about my dog, saying things like “You love your dog? You need to take care of her,” which felt unnecessary and offensive. My dog was matted in some areas, but she’s very much cared for. I wanted to support a local small business and I looked past the van's condition... but after this experience, I’ll be using to Barkbus instead. They service the same area.

I made an appointment at 8:35 AM, and Mia’s groomer arrived promptly at 9:10 AM. He was very responsive and professional from the start. He groomed my 10-month-old puppy, Dior, right outside in his van and treated her with such gentle care—as if she were his own. He even trimmed her nails without hurting her, which I really appreciated. After her grooming, Dior came back looking adorable, feeling super clean, smelling amazing—and wearing a cute bandana tied around her neck! The service was also extremely affordable. I’m truly pleased and will definitely be using his services monthly. Highly recommend!
