About Mel’s pet spa

Mel’s pet spa is one of the pet groomers listed in Jacksonville, Florida. The business is registered at 1650 San Pablo Rd S #13, Jacksonville, FL 32224; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 9:30 am–4:30 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Jacksonville is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Jacksonville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I have taken my goldendoodle here twice and I am so very happy to have found them! Mel takes time to fully understand what cut you prefer and is always so kind. This past visit Molly just strolled in tail wagging- it is obvious how much she cares for the babies!

I highly recommend Mel’s Pet Spa! The owners are truly the best—so kind, caring, and professional. The prices are also extremely reasonable. They treat every pet like their own, and it really shows in the quality of their work. My pet always comes back looking and feeling great. It’s such a relief to know I can trust them completely. If you’re looking for a groomer who goes above and beyond, this is the place!

I can’t say enough good things about Mel’s Pet Spa! Not only are their prices reasonable, but you can truly tell how much they care about the dogs. Our 4 year old goldendoodle usually gets nervous at the groomer, but he was calm, happy, and came out looking amazing. They take their time, pay attention to details, and treat every dog as if it were their own. My husband and I recently moved here from NY and it’s such a relief to find a groomer where we know our dog is in good hands. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality grooming with a team that genuinely loves what they do.

Mel and turbo always do an excellent job grooming our 100lb golden. She does exactly what we talk about doing with his coat, and she always gets him in within a few days, if not that same day. The place is always clean and the dogs always seem happy to see her. My dog would have to be dragged into the groomers after the first visit, but he just walks right in to Mel’s. She always points out things she notices about lumps, or the state of his ears, anything that might be problematic she remembers to tell me. The pricing is also very reasonable and they are the nicest people you’ll meet. Real dog people. Thanks Mel! Thanks Turbo! Y'all are the best!

So so so happy with how my boys haircuts came out! Mel was great, she even buzzed a little bit of their fur while I was there to make sure it was the length I wanted. After I found out my groomer’s prices went up a crazy amount and had all these rules on scheduling I decided to look elsewhere and found Mel. I couldn’t be happier, I was able to get an appointment within a week and her communication was great. Highly recommended! Thanks again:)
