I went a couple of weeks ago & I believe that the heavy set gentleman ( believe r to be the one in charge ) & his staff was racist. I got there in the evening & I was the only African American there at the time. Soon after- an older man came in with his wife & he didn’t sign in but I did. This older gentleman was seen before me & I had to wait over a hour so the staff can go to lunch. I recommend if you’re African American not to come here..You would not be treated right.

this place does your hair for a good price and the hair dye lasts long, but also if u take care of it. the woman there are very nice and polite, they dont yank your hair or anything and they make sure nothing burns or hurts. i sat in the chair for like 5 hours, but i also have a lot of hair and i asked for a very specific hair dye and look. when they washed out my hair and everything and began to blowdry it and curl it, the finished product was so beautiful. 10/10 would go again and i do recommend!

I came here to do a crossover program. The prices were reasonable and the timing was exceptional. It worked with my schedule. My cosmo instructor was Adriana. She was a big help in expediting my process and showing me techniques I’ve always wanted to learn. She also has excellent knowledge of the book and state board qualifications. I’d definitely recommend this school and Adriana as the main instructor. Thanks guys!

Great experience doing my barber school here. I learned alot met alot of great people and the staff was always trying to help us grow and push ourselves. Because of that I was set up for my test to pass my licensing and now I have opened up my own barbershop (Rich Razor Barbersuite). I appreciate the learning here.

This place is TERRIBLE!!! As someone who had no choice but to complete the Master Academy Long Beach Barber Program, I can honestly say this is NOT THE PLACE TO LEARN HOW TO CUT HAIR. If you have experience cutting hair and are just looking for hours to get licensed, then this is the place for you. The Barber instructors (PB&J) will gaslight students and talk down to them instead of taking the time to teach the material and techniques. Instead of guiding students through a haircut with a walk-in client, the instructor is doing push-ups in the middle of the classroom or yelling random instructions from the comfort of their chair. Even when students express their frustrations of inadequate education to the school’s administration, the owners will not take action against the instructors. Because issues aren't addressed, tensions run high and it has led to physical altercations between instructors and students or students on students. It is a very unprofessional and toxic environment for anyone who is just wanting to learn to cut hair. They say they offer courses in Spanish, but they are only after your money, not for what's in your best interest. Much less bother to teach material in
