We took our rescue, Tillie, to Allison after two very scary attacks on other dogs in the household. We did the 2 week board and train and it has made such a difference! Not only did she teach tillie commands but also taught us how to spot and manage signs of conflict in the house (even taking time during the home visit to work with the other dog). We could not be more impressed with Tillies progress. She sent daily progress videos and was responsive to any questions we had after training was complete. If you are here checking reviews like I did because you were afraid you’d have to rehome your dog please give Allison a call! We checked with another trainer first and they said it wouldn’t work because tillie was too old.

Board and train program We have a 5-year-old French bulldog who was very spoiled until our first baby arrived, leading to jealousy and stress. He destroyed furniture when he was ignored and bolted out the door when visitors arrived, making newborn life even more chaotic. He had always been terrible to walk on a leash and that lead to us leaving him at home more often than necessary. Ahead of the birth of our second son, we tried the 10-day board and train program—and it was life-changing. During training, we received daily progress videos, and after 10 days, had two in-home sessions with Allison, who showed us how to apply the new commands. Our dog learned to: - Sit or stay when doors open (even with distractions). - Stay off the couch (despite testing boundaries!). We were unsure of this because stitch loves to cuddle so much but it’s been so nice to not worry about him pouncing on a pregnant belly and eventually a newborn - Walk calmly on a leash and sit when stopping. - Place for long periods, even in other homes. Some things took extra effort, like backdoor training and using the e-collar, but Allison guided us through it. The results have been incredible: less stress, no y

My 2 year old Mal went to Marcum for a 20 day training. She was reactive ,hard to walk and impossible to have house guests. My dog and I had a great experience it was 75 percent training me and 25 percent the dog. Andrea and Allison were amazing they made house visits and really took they’re time to teach me . I look forward to boarding my dog here in the future and continuing my training as an owner .My Mal loves these people and she doesn’t take strangers.Big shout out to Rosko 🙂!

We got a Rottweiler for companionship and protection. But we underestimated how powerful and strong she would be, fully grown. She is a sweet loving girl but stubborn and we needed help. That’s when we found Marcum K9 Obedience. We are truckers and they were able to work around our schedule. They worked their magic and got Luna leash trained and obedience trained. Today I was able to take Luna on a 20min walk/jog and she matched my pace the whole way. We no longer dread taking her places because we now know how to communicate with her. Thank you!

Marcum K9 is amazing!!! I brought my 7-month old puppy, Bridget, for 20-day board and train and cannot be happier with the difference it made. I adopted Bridget at 16 weeks and she had terrible problems with anxiety to the point where I was afraid to leave her alone. She would be destructive and get so anxious that she would harm herself. I tried group training, individual training and medication. I met with several different trainers and nothing seemed to help. I was desperate to find something to help Bridget and when I met the team at Marcum K9, I just new I had finally found the right place. Sierra is absolutely amazing and sent me updates every day. She was so patient with my thousands of questions and helped me understand how to help give Bridget the confidence she so badly needed. It's been three months since Bridget came home and not only was there a difference in her behavior right away but the tools that Sierra gave me has helped me continue to see improvements. I am so thankful to Marcum K9 for their help and highly recommend them. Definitely a life changing experience and Bridget is so much happier because of all of the work Sierra did with her.
