Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Charlotte follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I chose Lucky Dog Daycare because several years ago my sister had a wonderful experience bringing her dog here, so I felt confident bringing mine. One of the things that appealed to me was the report card and photos at the end of the day. It wasn’t just about getting cute pictures—it was about having reassurance that my dog was well cared for and that the staff took the time to know her. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience. On her evaluation day, I picked her up and had to stop the staff to ask how she did because they simply handed her to me and moved on to the next customer. The only response I received was, “She passed.” I assumed her report card and photos would be uploaded to the parent portal later, but nothing ever was. When I brought her back the following week, I even called ahead to ask if I could receive her report card and a few photos. At pickup, I asked again because nothing had been uploaded. I was told they would check with the staff in the back, but once again, nothing was ever added to the portal. This ultimately isn’t about missing pictures or a report card. It’s about the lack of communication and what that represented. When I’m paying someone to care

While this may be a poor reflection of having a dog companion. Frey has been in many different daycares - eight, in three different states. She loves Lucky Dog Uptown. We drive about 20 miles just to get there. The staff is great! Obviously love dogs and thier job. I wish I knew more of thier names but Jess, Sarah, Ally and Jaclyn (the groomer) are the ones that have always been so great and understanding.

Our pup, Mac, has been coming here for six years. The facility, newly remodeled, is beautiful. I don’t trust anybody else with him. He comes home happy, tired, clean and bathed. His eye medications are always administered appropriately. The activities are always a fun addition to his stay. The staff are always incredibly helpful, kind and supportive. It doesn’t get better than this.

Staff was very friendly, made me feel very comfortable with leaving my fur baby in their care. This is the first sitter I’ve ever used because Her father and myself are extremely protective of her. The Facility is clean throughout and every staff member seemed to love their job and all the pets they care for. They answered all my questions and walked me through the kennel area and gave me a quick view of their play yard. Although the operable side of yard is nice I would’ve liked to have seen challenging toys /activities for them to play on and do outdoors. That’s the only thing I would suggest. Other than that I really enjoyed meeting everyone and my fur baby “Kelsa” also seemed to have enjoyed herself. I’m glad I found this place and I do plan to take her back again in the near future.
