In Ashland, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Oregon, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–2:30 pm. It is closed on Monday, Sunday. Ashland is in Oregon, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. Getting around Ashland is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Oregon's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Blue has been coming to Land of Paws whenever he’s in Grandma’s care, but this visit really stood out to me. As he’s gotten older, they recognized his changing needs and adjusted his grooming so they wouldn’t over-stress him. They had me stay with him while they trimmed his nails, and Blue did great. The nail trimming was quick, calm, and easy. What impressed me most was that they didn’t treat Blue like just another appointment. They treated him as an individual, taking the time to understand what would help him feel safe and comfortable. That level of compassion and attentiveness is something you don’t often find. Thank you for the thoughtful, compassionate care you continue to give Blue. It means so much to know my granddog is in the hands of people who truly see him and care for him as an individual. 🐾💙

Felt like I got scammed. I dropped my dog off with them, gave them her size, breed, age; and her sensitivities in advance. And of course they saw her when they took her in. When I came to pick her up they started hitting me with all these “problems”: That age is old of a dog that size (I know?), she is very fluffy (they saw when she came in?) she is big (yep) and she didn’t like her back legs being brushed - which I told them. Anyway, it was all a lead up to, of course, what I was expecting; that I’d have to pay more than we agreed too. I’ve encountered this type of business practice before, so I paid and left. Bummer because they did come recommended. I would have been happy to pay that price anyway if that was the original quote - I just don’t like to feel scammed nor play all these games like they didn’t know exactly what they were dealing with. --Edit after they called and after this reply. I didn't realize they didn't give a quote before the appointment. My wife scheduled the appointment and once they started listing all these things that were "wrong" with my dig I assumed they were running up the price. That's on me, though I guess I don't know why they needed to point out t

I've always been happy with the results of my Australian shepherds grooming at Land of paws, too many groomers don't know how to properly groom this particular breed.

Lovely experience!! We have a MASSIVE puppy with lots of wiggly energy. The last place we took him was rude and had no patience and scared him. Land of Paws was very relaxed about his size and energy and gave him a positive doggie spa day! They are reasonably priced, patient, and friendly. Highly recommend!!!

Friendly staff and they are always able to fit us in for a nail trim last minute even though they are super busy. They are able to keep my dog calmer than any other places we've tried and it takes less than ten minutes : )
