I had a really bad experience. I admittedly misread information about service and pricing, but nothing was explained to me by the tech after I clearly explained what I expected. I was told virtually nothing about what to expect or what would happen even when the doctor came in. I have a 5mo Belgian Malinouse mix, a pretty sketchy breed but incredibly sweet and well behaved as well as outrageously intelligent. She's a typical female of the breed with her suuuuuper soft feelings. Because of this, I asked them not to put her on the table, a 43lbs emotional needs puppy essentially dog whose trust can be broken pretty quickly. I have to straight up truck her into getting bathed and nails trimmed, so I knew she was not gonna be down for the table. The vet completely ignored my request, as did the tech who then picked up my dog while I was actively calming her to put her on the table. The vet ended up sticking her too deep as well, a first for me. The poor girl kept looking at me the same way my 6yo daughter did when she got shots, I felt so bad. I was also charged for an exam, my bill complaint as I was under the impression I didn't need one. It didn't matter because this vet only bri

My Chihuahua was getting his teeth cleaned, and Gail, the vet tech, was super helpful. She explained everything about the procedure and the costs, which made me feel really comfortable. I was so happy with how it all turned out.

I have been taking my dogs and cats to Lake Station Animal clinic for over 20 years. For boarding and treatments. Also to have 3 put to sleep. It was heartbreaking to loose our "Angel" and "Bowzer" (dogs) also "Elwood the cat. They were so compassionate and caring during. Having many options for remembrance and disposal. The vets are always great and Dr Cooper is old school knowledge! All staff is always polite. I can not compare prices as I left Hobart Animal Clinic years ago. I do know why I left. Rude and expensive. It is not cheap to own a dog if you want to keep them "legal". As far as price, I just took my dog Louie in and had a 3 year rabies, also all vaccinations done with nail trimming and a 6 month supply of heart guard for $400.00. I can not compare that as I only go to Lake Station. Appointments are easy to get. I strongly recommend.
