Store is clean very well layer out. The men’s bathroom NEVER NEVER has paper hand towels to dry your hands. There are NEVER any used paper hand towels in the waste baskets which means the cleaning crew NEVER puts ANY in the dispensers - probably because they don’t want to empty the waste baskets - clever. Management doesn’t care - I told them. So bring your own hand towels.

I'm so disappointed. I went today with my son. He said it looks like someone robbed the place. The shoe department was a complete disaster. Boxes mixed up not lined up with the display shoe on top. Couldn't find anything. Boxes on the floor some with only one shoe. Nothing was where it was supposed to be. It was a mess. In the women's clothing department clothes were scattered everywhere. Hangers and clothes on the floor. I managed to find some pants and went to try them on and couldn't believe the double racks of clothes to be returned outside the fitting room. Inside there were more clothes and empty hangers all over. Couldn't sit on the chair or hang up my pants because the room was completely cluttered with clothes. Hangers all over the floor. I know some shoppers are lazy and don't help at all but this store is way understaffed. There were piles of returns up at the registers too. The cashier was an older woman with an attitude. This store needs new management because this store needs an overhaul.

This review is for a lovely cashier named Lisa . I rarely get to have this kind of customer service at any local store and she truly deserves this . She went above and beyond to assist me with a coupon and an in store purchase that she had ready so I didn’t have to drive back . I can’t thank her enough because it’s truly the little things that make you want to shop at places and cause of her people like me will continue to shop at this Waterbury kohls

Yesterday was April 21, 2026 and I had the worst experience in Coz in Waterbury. I went to return an Amazon purchase with my mother who is 80 years old in the elderly Man that worked in That location took one look at us and decided he was gonna treat us just courteous. We walked up to him and I returned my item, but my mom is a little slower with her phone so I needed to help her and he begins to tell us that we needed to do all that at home before we got there. My response was you don’t talk to me like that. There’s no sign that says that we needed to do this at home and that’s when it all began. He was offended that I defended myself in immediately said that he would call the police. My response was the police, please call them. This clearly made us feel like it had to do with race. Now I may be mistaken, but if that’s my feeling, that is my feeling. Especially because all of the other people around us were treated so pleasantly. He called the manager, and she came out and she began to speak kindly to us, but that went downhill quickly after I yelled at him because he just wouldn’t stop after her repeatedly telling him to. I stop at Kohl’s in Waterbury pretty regularly, mostly to do my Amazon returns, and the process there is always quick and easy. It’s really convenient being able to return packages while running other errands. They also have a Sephora inside, which is a nice bonus if you need makeup or skincare while you’re there. I usually swing through the kids section while I’m in the store and there are almost always some good deals to be found. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and the store itself is clean and easy to navigate. The parking lot is large, so finding a spot is never really an issue, and the store is handicap accessible, which is important. Overall it’s a solid location and a convenient stop for returns, quick shopping, or finding a good sale.
