My two cats were very well taken care of here during their stay. Pictures and updates were sent to us daily, which we really appreciated and helped with our peace of mind. Thanks to the wonderful staff of Kitty Island for everything!!!

I boarded my two cats at Kitty Island after realizing I wanted something a little different from a typical boarding setup. I was looking for a space that felt less like a kennel with glass enclosures and more open, comfortable, and home-like where they could move around and feel at ease. Kitty Island ended up being exactly that. It’s very clean inside, calm, and clearly designed with cats in mind. I booked the King’s Quarters since my cats are on different diets, and the connecting window between the rooms worked out perfectly. They could still see and interact with each other, but I didn’t have to worry about feeding. The staff was great and easy to work with, and I appreciated getting photo updates during their stay. It helped seeing them relaxed and comfortable. When I picked them up, both cats were calm, and my shy cat was noticeably more at ease than he’s ever been after boarding. That really stood out to me. Overall, this just felt like the kind of environment I was originally hoping to find. I’ll definitely be bringing them back here if I need to board them again and would recommend it if you’re looking for a calmer, cat-only place.

I used to love Kitty Island when Sandy ran it. It still is a beautiful facility and a great place if your cat is healthy. If your baby has any health issues I would not board them here. Sandy was awesome and on top of everything. Billy the Kitten runs it now that Sandy retired. The last time I boarded my cat, she had some not eating issues and I really think they should have taken her to my vet. They didn't advise me of this fact either and I was reachable via email. She ended up noticeably losing weight and wasn't eating at the end of her stay. Which they told me when I picked her up. The same thing happened to my daughter's cat about 7 years ago, Sandy advised my daughter & took her to our vet. This cat was not ill just nervous about new surroundings. Cats not eating for a few days is serious!

The best cat hotel we’ve ever been to! Great prices, spacious rooms, and an amazing playground with a bird-watching area. The staff are true professionals. They helped my cat settle in quickly and sent photo updates every few days.

Kitty Island has been wonderful for my cats. It is clean and smells great. The cats get to roam for 30 mins and stretch their legs and climb on cats trees. The ladies that look after them are so kind and careful and really love the animals and their distinct personalities! I would heartily recommend this as a place for your cats to stay at any time. They were especially flexible for us when we got delayed in the UK for 5 days because of airline difficulties. They took care of the cats beautifully and sent us regular photos of them. We will be back when we go on our next trip.
