Kelly's Pet Boutique East

I recently had Echo my Golden Retriever groomed by Dannie and it was the best experience ever! This is my 4th Golden and he has a lot of coat and was way overdue for a grooming. Dannie listened to my requests and Echo left with a lot less coat that I will be able to manage but still a nice outline of feathering so he does not look chopped off. I will definitely be returning.

I have used Kelly's Pet Boutiques for about 10 years and they are the only place that I feel confident in their treatment and service for my furry family. They are a great pet service, whether it is Dannie or one of his staff. My dog is a12 year old senior schnauzer/pomeranian mix and you won't see his picture on some of their great FB postings - mainly because he comes in with a muzzle for basic grooming :( He is not a vicious dog, and in fact lets strangers pet him while we walk many trails in the area, and if you come to my house - once I open the door he goes out on my porch all excited to see you, in fact he thinks you are there to see him and gets upset when you depart (maybe separation anxiety:) Kelly's always welcomes him and give good reports and even a few ideas of areas I might to watch for. I also had 2 cats for a few years that I adopted from a friend who passed - they took them for a few years, even while there were in rough shape initially and groomed them until they passed (Other businesses would not see them :( Too much information, but they are great for your pet family.

I had a very unpleasant experience here. I took my cat for a nail trim and the experience was very rushed even though my cat was a bit nervous. The chaotic atmosphere and the antagonistic shoppe cat upset my cat. The dogs who were getting their haircut didn’t have separators, they were all just out in the open barking. They didn’t take my cat to a private, back room even though we requested it. They just cut his nails out in the very front of the store! The staff was nice and they were talented at the nail trim itself, but the poorly managed environment was upsetting. I never took my cat back. This was about a year ago, so hopefully things have changed. My cat now is scared of nail trims. So, unless you have a very relaxed animal, I wouldn’t recommend.

Thank you for being a wonderful place my dogs are excited and content to spend time at while getting gorgeous looks. They love you all as much as I do.

If anyone is looking for a pet groomer, I highly recommend Kelly’s Pet Boutique on Lake Lansing Rd. They got this big boy an appointment within 2 days of when I called, and the staff there was excellent. Gave me advice on how to keep him groomed between visits (using a metal comb, not a brush). And they did it while I waited which was a huge help. A+ service!
