Bandit and I worked with Larry for 8, once a week, 1hour sessions. Bandit is a 9 year old large (over 100 lbs dog), with a lot of spunk. My main problems with him was being pulled when walking and the occasional taking off after a cat or rabbit. I had lost confidence in being able to walk him at the park or even in the yard. After the first lesson I was able to start walking him with more confidence. I felt more secure and he stopped the pulling almost completely. Larry taught us calm, positive techniques that made sense. Larry was patient answered all my questions, and gave us easy daily exercises. I feel so much more confident now. Bandit has been to Lowe’s, Tractor Supply, many local parks and we even took him camping. This whole experience has allowed me to be much more in tuned with my dog. He is much smarter than I ever thought. Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! We will continue with the training maintenance and refer to Larry if questions arise. Highly recommend!

I just finished my 8 week basic obedience course with Larry Leogrande at K-9 Obedience Training, and looking back over the eight weeks, I cannot get over how much my dog learned! He had some skills when we arrived, but was unpolished and inconsistent. Larry takes his job seriously and has a very organized and accessible approach to lessons. He starts the lessons by asking what questions or problems we may have encountered during the week and then gives pointers about how to approach those. Afterwards, he starts with notes about what will be covered in the day’s lesson and the steps for accomplishing those goals. He demonstrates to you with your dog in hand and then coaches you through your training, to be sure you understand how to ask your dog correctly for the commands you are teaching. At the end of the lesson, you get a preview of next week’s class, opportunity for questions again and homework. In following this system, my dog learned to master his impulsivity and follow commands successfully. My pup looked forward to all his lessons and was very excited to get going once we arrived at the door. I wholeheartedly recommend bringing your dog to K-9 Obedience Training if you want

We are the owners of a very large dog breed. Larry provided us with the necessary training skills required to be responsible and safe pet parents. Larry showed great patience with our stubborn and unambitious Clyde in a way that our puppy looked forward to his session every week. We now feel confident in our dog and our abilities as owners thanks to Larry’s immense knowledge on dog training. This trainer listened to all of our concerns with Clyde , no matter how big or small, and gave us a plan that was easy to implement and stick to. Could not recommend this training program enough.

If you're looking for a dog trainer, I highly recommend Larry, owner of K9 Obedience Training. We came to Larry after our French Bulldog, Fiona, developed significant reactivity issues, especially around our kids. If she saw someone outside or heard a noise, she would become extremely reactive. Walks had become nearly impossible—many days I couldn't even get her down the driveway without a meltdown. This was after she had already completed a basic obedience program with another trainer when she was younger. To be honest, we had reached a point where we weren't enjoying life with our dog anymore. During our first meeting, Larry took the time to listen carefully to all of our concerns and truly understand Fiona's challenges. He then created a customized training plan tailored specifically to her needs. Because Fiona can be incredibly stubborn, Larry adjusted and refined the program along the way to ensure we continued making progress toward our goals. After just eight weeks, the transformation has been incredible. Fiona no longer has issues around the kids, her reactivity to things happening outside the window has been drastically reduced, and we're finally able to take her on wal

We just finished our basic obedience training with Larry. I cannot begin to tell you what a difference this training has made in our dog Luna. Before we brought her to Larry, she was a bundle of freshness, constantly counter surfing, pulling at her leash when walking, jumping on people when they walk through the doors. Everything you would expect from a rambunctious untrained puppy. Larry’s style of training worked wonders. He is a no nonsense trainer, who gave us the tools to correct Luna‘s behavior. Luna looked forward to training sessions every week as she ran through the door to see Larry. He is a tough, no nonsense dog trainer, who knows his stuff. His sense of humor made class time very enjoyable. I would highly recommend him!!
