Been to this Korean sauna multiple times and will keep coming back. I drive quite a ways to come here and I always leave with a 'worth it' feeling. The saunas are hot but not exhaustingly hot. The saunas are each very relaxing in their own way, and stepping back out into the main sections to cool down and drink water before heading to the next sauna is very refreshing. There are no cold shower areas for after each sauna, but I don't feel you need one since the heat is so relaxing instead of just intense. I feel like my body is so relaxed and my sinuses are cleared after every visit. The baths in the shower room are usually taken by groups that came together, however I have squeezed in before to get a feel for the baths (nothing too extra just a nice relaxing temp). The only grievance I have is that there are a lot of children who take up rooms for long periods of time and play on iPads in the saunas with sounds on (not relaxing at all). Maybe it's because I can usually only go on weekends, but I feel like staff should peek into the saunas from time to time to make sure no one is in there for long periods or on an iPad/phone disrupting others. There are only 5 saunas that fit about

My new favorite spa in Edison! The staff, from the front desk to the juice bar to the spa services, are all consistently friendly and informative. I went to each room and spent a good amount of time sweating, got some work done in the restaurant, and even took a yoga class. They also have a spacious lounge area that works great as a workspace, plus recliners if you just want to relax and get some reading in. There's a ton of spa services you can book too. The deep tissue massage and Korean body scrub had me coming out feeling like a brand new person! The bathhouse was great, but fair warning: it's a no-clothing zone.

This is my second time visiting Island spa on my birthday! I think my favorite part is the bath houses. One critique I have is that there’s not much variety in the bath houses or the saunas. However, the ambiance is very peaceful and relaxing. The first time I got a massage it was amazing. My second massage was okay. The food was pretty good. Overall, I’d still keep returning. Also very clean! Lots of areas for relaxation.

I have now been to both Island spa and King spa. Island spa is easily 5 stars, but in different ways. Pros The general building is much more modern, and maybe a bit cleaner. We saw people actively mopping and wiping throughout our afternoon. There are various seating areas and places to work. Various saunas, although most run quite hot in the 140 range. The juice bar was WONDERFUL, various options, including ice cream and milkshakes. Services are reasonably priced, and the packages are really a steal in my opinion. The bathhouse area itself is very clean, lotion, body wash, hair stuff provided. They have 2 different saunas, 1 not as hot which is nice. The cold pool is a nice touch. There is a TON of people you can ask for help or guidance. They are all very nice. Cons The bathhouse area has water features and jets in tubs, making it very very loud. The people in general were also very loud; there were lots of groups and chitchat. The facility in general is smaller then King Spa, less spaces to walk around, and less nook esc places to sit and lay down. All the seating is very open concept. (But definitely comfy!) The food was good, but the portions are definitely smaller, and the ar

My wife and I recently spent the day at Island Spa in Edison and honestly had a really relaxing experience. The facility was extremely clean, well maintained, and had a calm atmosphere throughout. The food options were surprisingly good for a spa, and the different relaxation areas made it easy to completely unplug for a few hours. The sleeping room was probably the most interesting surprise — basically an adults-only nap room, which somehow felt both incredulous and amazing at the same time. For first-timers: this is a Korean-style spa, so you’re given a t-shirt and shorts to wear in the common areas, and people walk around either barefoot or in socks. Totally normal for this type of spa experience. Overall, a very relaxing day and definitely worth checking out if you want to decompress for a few hours.
