Irving is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Irving follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Participated in the Doggy’s Day Out program and got to spend the afternoon with Dimitrio! It was such a great experience, and Egan was wonderful to work with.

I wanted to share my experience with the animal shelter in hopes that it helps someone else. After my dog, Romo, had been missing for three days, I called to ask if a German Shepherd had been picked up. The employee I spoke with told me that one had been recovered, but said that if it were my dog they would have contacted me because he is microchipped. After hanging up, I checked the shelter’s website and immediately saw a dog that looked identical to Romo. I called back and asked for more information because I had a feeling it was him. I was told the dog had been found only about six minutes (drive) from my house. However, I was also told it couldn’t be my dog because this one wasn’t microchipped, was estimated to be around 3 years old, and that there was “no way” my 9-year-old dog could have traveled that far. When I asked if I could come identify the dog in person, I was told they couldn’t guarantee I’d even be allowed to see him because the characteristics didn’t match. Thankfully, my dad went anyway. The moment he saw Romo, Romo immediately recognized him. One of the staff members helping him even said, “That’s definitely your dog.” I’m incredibly grateful to the kind emp

I picked up a dog from this shelter for Cody's Friends Rescue. This was my first time to visit the Irving Animal Care Campus. They were expecting my arrival and had the paperwork ready for me to sign, after signing the adoption paperwork they brought the pup to the front lobby and I took the sweet little pup outside for a brief walk before taking her to her forever home. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the facility as clean and easy to navigate once you arrive.

I adopted a kitten from this shelter a week ago and had a great experience. The care of the cats is amazing, all enclosures were well kept with attentive volunteers/staff everywhere. The staff make it a priority for potential owners to spend time with their chosen pet to ensure it’s a good fit. Everyone I spoke to was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I’ve seen a lot of reviews complaining about the wait times for the front desk. I think it’s extremely unfair since two people at a front desk is standard for any establishment and they were doing their best. It is not their fault that the majority of people that they assist take 10+ minutes each because they’re dealing with adoptions, meet & greets, etc. When it was my turn, the staff made sure my adoption was a priority and were thorough with the entire process. I can’t recommend this shelter enough!

Irving Animal Care Campus is a wonderful shelter with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They have a great selection of adoptable pets—not just dogs and cats, but also some adorable bunnies! The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole experience of visiting or adopting feel easy and positive. The facility itself is well-maintained and impressively clean, which speaks to how much they care for the animals. They have plenty of cats ready for adoption, and it’s clear they take great care of every pet that comes through their doors. They also offer a lot of volunteer opportunities and flexible fostering options, making it easy to get involved no matter your schedule. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to volunteer, foster, adopt a pet, donate, or just spend some time with the cuties here!
