Vets and pet-health businesses handle what a groomer cannot. General veterinarians and animal hospitals do checkups, vaccinations, dental cleanings, spaying and neutering and sick visits; emergency and 24-hour vets treat injuries and sudden illness at night and on weekends; mobile vets come to the house; rehab centers offer physical therapy, hydrotherapy and acupuncture; and pet pharmacies fill prescriptions and sell prescription diets. Groomers often spot skin problems, ear infections, lumps or overgrown nails first and will suggest a vet visit.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–6 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (714) 969-0211. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is huntingtonpetvet.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

My cat is feeling a lot better, super affordable. They are busy and they had me waiting a while and customer service is kinda cold. That's okay though because fellow customers are very kind, and I know they are just running a tight ship. Will definitely be back!

I went to this place because it was recommended to me by an animal rescuer. To be honest, this place overbooks their schedule like crazy, both times we had to wait anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour just to be put in a room, even with a scheduled appointment. The first time I took my dog she had acupuncture and the provider stated she was going to stay like that for "20 minutes," we waited for about 1 hour or more in the room and my dog was getting impatient. I have ever since taken my business elsewhere.

I brought my dog here on Tuesday at 3:20 PM while she was critically ill, and I will regret taking her here for the rest of my life. She had white gums, could barely walk, was lethargic, weak, and dying right in front of me. Any competent veterinary office should have recognized immediately that this was an emergency. Instead, they made us sit there for over an hour before she was even seen. We were trapped in that building until closing while my dog suffered. What I experienced there was one of the most disturbing and disgusting things I have ever witnessed from people who are supposed to care for animals. I was seated near the back room where they take pets away from their owners for blood draws and treatment. For almost TWO HOURS they kept my dog away from me while she was terrified and critically sick. During that time I could hear staff yelling at dogs behind the door. Not comforting them. Not speaking gently. YELLING at scared animals who were already frightened and alone. Harsh “NO”s, irritated tones, zero patience, zero kindness. Imagine hearing your sick dog somewhere behind a closed door, scared and without you, while strangers bark at her like she’s an inconvenience.

For anyone looking for an exceptional groomer, I can’t say enough wonderful things about Deanise at Huntington Pet Vet. Our 16-year-old Labradoodle was in desperate need of grooming. Our previous groomer had told us that our sweet girl had “aged out” and could no longer be trimmed. Deanise immediately reassured us that this simply wasn’t true. Before the appointment, she took the time to speak with us at length about our dog’s specific needs. She is truly a wealth of knowledge when it comes to elderly dog grooming and special care. It’s clear she has extensive experience working with senior, rehabilitative, and even dogs battling cancer. Her gentle touch, calm demeanor, and genuine compassion made all the difference. She understood exactly what an elderly dog requires and trimmed her appropriately and thoughtfully. Although she is very busy, she is absolutely worth the wait. Because it was our first appointment, she even allowed us to stay in the room during the grooming, which gave us such peace of mind. We all love our fur babies, and if you’re looking for a groomer—whether for a show dog or a senior dog with special needs—I wholeheartedly recommend her. She also came highly

So disappointed in this place. I dropped my dog, Mannix, off at 9:30 AM for a scheduled dental cleaning and was told he needed to be there “the whole day.” At 2:13 PM, I called to check on him and was told he was prepped and ready. I confirmed they closed at 6:00 PM and headed over. When I arrived at 5:30 PM, a staff member told me they were open until 7:00 and insisted my dog needed to be there a full day. I said " isnt 940- 530 a whole day?: The bully went into the back and returned in 10 mind telling me my dog was recovering from dental surgery and to come back later. I said I would wait. He then went back again. When he returned he told me—completely contradicting himself—that they had not even started my dog’s dental procedure. This means my dog had been sitting in a cage for over 8 hours with no food, or water. (Anastesia requires this, I understand that. But I've never been kept for 8 hours waiting to get in to surgery! ) I felt so bad for my dog! I demanded he return my dog to me, now. I don't want my dog being last when I was told only four dogs were having their teeth done that day! Pathetic worst experience I've ever had with anything pertaining to my dog bar none. Stay
