Very kind approach & services for cremations for our two elder dogs within 4 months of each other. The costs are much more economical than going through veterinarian. Highly recommend!

Adopt don't shop! We adopted a kitten from HSSV. Fast forward 17 years and he is still going strong. If you need end of life services for your pet, HSSV has a serene environment to send them over the rainbow bridge and you can stay there. I got a tile of my dog's paw prints and I could've kept his ashes. I missed my dog so much that a month later I adopted a puppy from HSSV. The fees are extremely reasonable compared to buying an animal and paying a veterinarian's fees for spaying / neutering and vaccinations. It was well worth it.

When my cat showed up last Saturday with a broken tail, the vet informed me that an amputation was the only option. Facing the high cost of the procedure while already in a difficult financial position, I felt completely overwhelmed and started desperately searching for any avenues or options that could help. After hitting dead ends elsewhere, I finally made contact with the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. Not only did they step in to help me out financially, but they also showed genuine compassion, love, and care that completely carried me through one of the hardest moments I've faced. There is simply no way I could have gotten through this without them. Their kindness has had a profound impact on me, and I can honestly say it's going to make me a better person moving forward. There are not enough kind words in the world to express my gratitude. I am forever indebted to this organization. Thank you for the financial help, and thank you for showing such deep compassion, love, and care when we needed it most.

Shelter Review Based on our experience, we drove 30 minutes to this shelter specifically to meet a dog I had seen on their website. Upon arrival, we waited about 20 minutes before being able to see him. Our interaction with the dog was wonderful. After spending about 10 minutes, my family and I felt confident that we wanted to move forward with the adoption. We were then told to wait a few minutes so the adoption counselors could speak with us. When they returned with the paperwork, they immediately began discussing what they referred to as "red flags" about the dog. It felt as though they were trying to talk us out of adopting him. They explained that he had been adopted before and later returned, among other concerns. Their comments left me confused because my children and I had just had a very positive experience with him. We connected with him instantly, and it truly felt like he had chosen us just as much as we had chosen him. During this conversation, I asked whether I could spend more time with the dog and have a second interaction with him, especially after hearing these concerns. I wanted the opportunity to better understand his needs and discuss them further. I was to

Facility is very nice. Looks like there is a lot of staff members. Parking is a little tight. Came in to drop off a stray kitten we found at our complex. Since he was hurt we were recommended to take him to the Monterey rd facility. I'm just happy the kitten will be in good hands
