I’m not exactly sure who the man was who answered the phone with that attitude, I was cut off before I could ask, but very unwelcoming first impression/reflection of the environment of this hospital.

Dr. Carlson is a compassionate doctor who treats her patients like family. We have taken our dogs to her business for over 25 years. She and her staff are knowledgeable, caring and honest about pet treatments and care. We are lucky to have such a wonderful group of people caring for our pets.

Dr. Carlson is hands down the best vet I’ve ever worked with. My two dogs and cat go to her. My dogs legs suddenly stopped working and she spent 2 1/2 hours working on him. She let us borrow a harness for him and checked on him throughout the week. She really cares for every animal that walks through those doors. I’d give this place ten stars if I could.

Dr. Carlson has provided great care for our cats for over 10 years.Even after moving out of the area we can’t bring ourselves to choose a new vet because the bar is set so high by Dr. Carlson! It’s worth the drive to keep our cats in her care. She is compassionate, kind and thorough. She Is very dedicated and will call with follow up even after hours. All of the rest of the staff at Howard St Animal Hospital are great too. Everyone is very friendly and professional!

After years of different Vets and unworkable plans for my kitty with severe over-grooming issues, I moved back to the area and decided to visit my old Childhood vet. Dr.Carlson was exactly the wonderful, caring, and experienced Doc that I remembered. She was able to provide a different solution that has given my kitty tremendous relief, she's happy and playful like a kitten again!
