Very disappointed with our experience. We provided reference photos for a basic puppy cut with a trim for our Havanese. Instead, he was shaved nearly down to the skin without any communication or approval from us beforehand. We understand that matting can sometimes require a shorter cut, but a quick call or text before making such a drastic change should be standard practice. We were shocked when we saw him. His nails also weren’t clipped and his paws weren’t properly trimmed. For a $200 grooming service, we expected much better communication and attention to what we requested. We won’t be using this service again. UPDATE - RESPONSE TO OWNER Thanks for your response. We fully support humane de-matting policies, but you are completely missing the point. This was never about your policy—it is about a total failure to communicate. Looking at the before photo, there is no obvious sign of severe matting that would justify a complete shavedown. We explicitly pointed out localized mats on his ears and a recent vet IV site to the groomer. Yet, they proceeded to shave him completely—including his unmatted face—without discussing options with us first. Even if the groomer determined a

Robin is amazing. Rico Bean loved her and responded so well to her. He looks so handsome and is very happy and peppy with his new look and his tie. I knew I had a great vibe from House and Hound when I called but you guys went so above and beyond. Thank you so much. ❤️

Mango is a rescue and very nervous so I was worried how she would do. But Kelsi was so amazing! From meeting her she had great energy and listened to my concerns and what grooming we were looking for. She was very knowledgeable and kind. Mango came out happy and looking great. I would highly recommend.

Kelsi is amazing. She transformed my elderly and very difficult boy from scruffy to sleek and handsome. Also she worked very fast to not prolong his stress❤️ I am both pleased and impressed with this experience. From speaking with Sarah to make the appointment and voice my concerns. To getting Kelsi as the groomer and her understanding of an elderly dog. I will definitely call them again.🥰

House and Hound did an amazing job grooming my dog. The groomer was very kind, professional, and clearly cared about making DeeDee comfortable throughout the process. Her haircut turned out perfect — clean, even, and exactly what I was hoping for, best hair cut she has ever had. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy groomer. Loved they were mobile and able to come to Bothell!!
