I just adopted a wonderful friend from Hotel for Dogs and Cats. It was a wonderful experience!! Since I live out-of-town, I messaged Pam and explained my situation. She was gracious and understanding while taking some of my information online. I don’t know why they are given negative feedback. Their number one concern is placing the pets with the right person. Personally I find this the hallmark of a reputable and concerned rescue. Thank you for being so diligently.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot say enough good things about Pensacola Hotel for Dogs & Cats Rescue. After witnessing a dog being dumped and finding him in heartbreaking condition, I was desperately trying to make sure he had a chance. One of their veterinary technicians, Allie Bloodworth, saw my Facebook post and immediately jumped into action. She spent her own time making calls, coordinating with the shelter, following up on his status, and advocating for him every step of the way. Because of Allie and the incredible team at Pensacola Hotel for Dogs & Cats Rescue, this sweet dog now has a path toward recovery and a second chance at life. What impressed me most was that they didn’t know me, and they had never met this dog, yet they cared enough to step in and help. That level of compassion is rare. This rescue relies on donations, and seeing firsthand how hard they work to save animals has made me a lifelong supporter. If you’re looking for an organization that genuinely cares about animals and goes above and beyond to help them, this is it. Thank you, Allie, and thank you to everyone at Pensacola Hotel for Dogs & Cats Rescue for giving this sweet boy hope.

Went to Hotel For Dogs & Cats today 6/13/2026 to see a new arival adult pup yorkie mix named Ozzie. The pup they avertize is supposed to between 1-2 years old. Absolutely not the case. Ozzie's teeth are worn down so much that hes no younger than 5-6 and that is being kind. His teeth are in bad shape with severe dental disease. Ozzie desperately needs a Dental and I can almost guarantee hes gonna need extraction. The cost of a dental at minimum at $300 to $500 dollars depending on who you go to. It will be under anesthesia, so the dentist can do dental X-Rays, and extractions if needed. Extraction's are Extra and depending on how many teeth need to be removed the price depends on how many roots are involed the more roots the higher price of the extraction. Then there are sutures, antibiotics and may never be able to eat crunchy food without soaking it to soften with you should use low sodium or no sodium chicken broth. These rescues pull the Dogs from local Shelters most for Free, then charge you hundreds and hundreds of dollars and make you compete with others for said pup it's Absolutely Ridiculous. I thought that the staff was friendly and accommodating and helpful. My issue is as soon as we walked in, the stench was very strong. I don’t think the facility is kept to the standard it could be. The cat room had a trash can with no lid with dirty litter in it. The cats looked unhealthy and ragged to be frank. The particular one we went to see looked healthier and fluffy in the pic online but he looks as if he’s declined while in their care. It could be for reasons not linked to his care there, but overall it was ok. Just could be maintained better. I personally like the humane society and animal shelter better.

Me and my family get our pets exclusively from hotel for cats and dogs. They are a respectable business that truly puts in the work to vet each applicant and make sure that every animal is being properly taken care of. They do the work to make sure the pets are going to a safe home and will supply you with everything you need to help the animal get adjusted and comfortable in the home. I’ve never seen a better shelter
