Schenectady is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Schenectady follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My husband and I adopted our first puppy together through Homeward Bound and had a great experience! The process was easy and everyone we encountered through Homeward Bound was kind, helpful, and passionate about dog rescue. Our puppy Charlotte is a wonderful addition to our little family and we’re so grateful!

I am so blessed to have recently adopted a dog from Homeward Bound. I found the process of adopting very simple - yet thorough. They had a phone interview with me and a veterinary investigation and a meet and greet and all went well. I am enjoying a dog that is beyond any dream I could ever have hoped of finding.

We rescued Paisley on March 20th of this year, and could not be any happier! She has been an amazing addition to our home and has brought so much love and energy into it. Homeward Bound Dog Rescue was so helpful in ensuring we were matched with the perfect puppy for our home! Komal was the foster mom who originally had Paisley, and we could tell that Paisley received so much love while in her home! We couldn’t have picked a better rescue to go through!

We recently rescued our Georgie from Homeward Bound. We had a wonderful experience with them. They are responsive, very helpful, honest about the dogs in their care- temperament, energy level, etc. Their fosters are loving caring and dedicated. They truly love the animals in their care and are very supportive of the families. They are committed to matching the right dog with the right family. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a pet.
