We adopted our Husky a few months ago and figured out very quickly that he's a true husky and HATES baths! We (all) were very nervous on our way to get groomed. As soon as we walked through the door, the Hawk-Dog groomers were so welcoming and sweet. After the perfect grooming (he smelled great, his fur was incredibly soft and trimmed very handsomely), our boy had the BIGGEST smile on his face for the rest of the day. It was so relieving to know everyone had a great experience, ESPECIALLY our pup :) we will absolutely be coming back!

The groomers here really care about my 2 ShihTzu dogs. Not only do they ask my opinion on all kinds of things that they need to know, but they offer tons of suggestions (for the grooming and for daily life) that I had no idea about because my dogs are elderly now. They do a fantastic job every time, and their pricing is great, too. Very nice people to deal with, on top of it! I guess they usually have a 2 week waiting time because they're pretty popular.

Hawk-Dog Grooming is great! I took my 6month old very shaggy puppy there for his first grooming and they did a wonderful job. I believe the woman that groomed his was named Alyssa. She was super nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this groomer for college students as it is one of the more affordable options in Iowa City, and great quality service. Amazing staff. Thank you Hawk-Dog! Update: Hawk Dog groomed my dog Bernie for 2 years while I lived in Iowa city, and I was not disappointed once. Suzanne did a wonderful job every time, and handled my big nervous boy so well. When I told her I was moving she even gave me advice to tell the next groomer about how best to care for Bernie. Hawk Dog so clearly cares about their clients, and I would recommend them highly to anyone! Thanks Hawk Dog ❤️
