Happy Hounds Grooming

Update. This was my error. I had the appt with a different groomer. However, our appt that I thought we had was April 1st. There was no response to my text or email that day until this review was made 2 weeks later. Still not great business practice to ignore potential clients. Original Review: Made an appt for our dog to have her nails trimmed. Brought her there - closed no one there. Texted and emailed the owner - no response! Not good business! I will never tell anyone to come to this business!!

Emily does a wonderful job. Most importantly, the dogs enjoy going there. We have an Australian labradoodle and a golden doodle. The cuts are cute. She cleans tge ears, anal expression, and nail trim. Highly recommend.

Starting with the positive, our dogs enjoyed going here and it was the most affordable place in town. Nail trim and grinding for $10 per dog is amazing! You get a true personal feel with her, and the dogs even get some decent socialization with her dogs usually in the shop too. We did choose to stop going here unfortunately, due to the poor communication which eventually led to being completely ignored for appointments. It’s one thing if she is busy and takes 3 days to maybe a week to reply and confirm the appointment, but for us to reach out weekly for a month and never get a reply is unprofessional. Maybe it’s because we only ever went in for nail trims, which may have led to full grooms at some point, but we just simply don’t trust trimming nails ourselves. But please do your clients the courtesy of letting them know, don’t just ignore us and stop replying. We now pay triple the price at our daycare to have it done, but it’s consistently reliable. So in the end, if you want reliable communication with a groomer, I’d go elsewhere.

I’ve been bringing both of my dogs to Emily for over a year, and she always does a wonderful job. We couldn’t be happier!

We could not be happier with the outstanding job that Emily did grooming (and taking care of) our dog, Greta! Emily worked with our dog Greta and my Mother's dog, Jazzy at the same appointment. This really helped to keep each of them calm. When we arrived to pick them up, Jazzy (who is a Teddy Bear pup) was sitting on Emily's lap and Greta (who is a Poodle/German Shepherd mix) was calmly laying at her feet. We have had some traumatic experiences at other groomers, so this was great to see! The business' description says it all, "High quality at a great price!" We are happy to recommend Happy Hounds with an extreme amount of confidence.
