I can't say enough about this place. The staff are amazing, very compassionate and understanding. I had to bring my dog peanut there because I had moved and my new place didn't allow dogs. I cried and agonized over it for two days. When I brought her in the staff was exceptional, they treated me with compassion and took very good care of my baby. I felt so bad I cried all the way home and then I rallied my troops and pulled every string I could and packed up and moved all over again that night. The next day I was at their door 20 minutes before they even opened and could hardly wait. Anyway, I got my baby back and if you find yourself in a situation where you have to do the unthinkable, I strongly recommend you go here. They will help and make you and your pet feel better.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Halifax Humane Society and the incredible people who work there. Over the past three years, we’ve adopted three amazing dogs from them, and they provide genuine care for both the animals and the adopters. They truly go above and beyond. It’s obvious that their goal isn’t just to adopt animals out, but to make sure every animal finds the right home and every family has the support they deserve. Specials thanks to Christel, Matthew, and Eden who are amazing in their professions and a true asset to Halifax Humane Society. Whether you’re looking to adopt, volunteer, or support a rescue that truly cares, I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for everything you do for these animals and for the families who love them.

I could not be more thrilled with the Daytona Beach humane Society my friend got a stray dog that someone threw from a car he's just so sweet so I called my friend Klandi was actually works here and he told me to be safe I really needed to bring the dog in check his microchip and see what he needed so with a heavy heart I surrender the dog for 5 days later I got to go back and pick him up so now he's mine!!! Turn down he's almost 12 years old very old they fixed his mouth that was injured they neutered him gave him all his shots just an amazing job!! To Klandi, Jacob,Liz,Briana and Cristel-!! You are amazing people. You can tell they don't just work there- its a genuine passion to make sure these little babies get the care and love they deserve! Little Benny is home now recovering,he came home with medicine and even dog food! Honestly above and beyond!! Thanks so much!!

I had a wonderful experience overall with the Halifax Humane Society. From the very beginning, Elaine and Khlandi were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. They made the entire adoption process smooth, stress-free, and truly enjoyable. Their professionalism and genuine care for both the animals and adopters really stood out and made a lasting impression. However, my experience at the very end of the process was disappointing. When I was approached about pet insurance, I politely explained that I would need to discuss it with my husband before making a decision. Instead of respecting that, the employee became visibly frustrated and responded in a negative and somewhat condescending manner, suggesting worst-case scenarios in a way that felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. Adopting a pet is an important and thoughtful decision, and most adopters have already considered the responsibilities, including potential veterinary costs. I believe information about services like pet insurance should be offered in a respectful, optional way—not in a manner that makes people feel pressured or judged. The adoption team was fantastic, and I’m very grateful for their help. I would just encour

This place is absolutely great. The staff is all very kind and care about what they do. I just recently adopted Sophia. She is is the best dog. I came back and adopted her puppy Sadie. She is a normal rough and tumble puppy. They both love the fenced in yard and all the love they can get. Truly a great experience.
