Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

Hair of the Dog is our pup's home away from home! From the moment you walk in, you can tell they love and care for all their dogs! The staff is absolutely wonderful to work with and they always do a fantastic job grooming. We've got an Australian Shepherd Poodle mix. With that thick coat, I have no doubt he's a lot to manage, but he always comes home looking fresh and well cared for! They also offer day care and boarding services which have been a life saver. I love that I can leave my dog with them and know that he isn't being crated. He gets all the snuggles he would at home plus a house full of playmates and space to roam free! I really couldn't recommend this place more! 💜

I took our small dog Rosie to Hair of the Dog today for the first time. Rosie was getting very matted and out of shape and needed her tonsils trimmed also. Rosie is very skittish with other people and dogs at first but Michelle (owner) and staff worked very well with Rosie. Michelle seemed very patient and it is obvious how much she loves dogs. Rosie received a wonderful haircut and it was exactly as we had asked for it to be done. I am very impressed and we will certainly be bringing Rosie back for future appointments. I highly recommend this place!

I LOVE Hair of the Dog! We have a Samoyed, which is a very fluffy breed with a double coat. They’re so good with our dog, and are incredibly caring and communicative.

I boarded my sweet girl Zari here for about 10 days and we have nothing but good things to say about Hair of the Dog!! Everyone who works there is amazing and kind and I know Zari had the best time! We’ve never put her in boarding before and have only had sitters because we didn’t want her to be in a cage most of the day (she isn’t caged at home). But HOTD is completely cage free and dogs get to interact and play all day which is awesome! (there are separate areas if your dog needs time/space away from other dogs) Zari came home happy and ready for a NAP 😂. I’ll definitely be going back for boarding, daycare, and grooming in the future!

I brought my husky pup in as I had gotten really behind on his at home grooming. He had matts on his belly and his undercoat was excessive and thick. Brittany worked with him patiently and lovingly and got us back on track! And he had a great time!
