I’ve been bringing one of my dogs to Groom By Harry’s for years, so I decided to bring my other dog(a 10lb Cockapoo) for her very first grooming appointment. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Not once, but twice, my confirmed appointments mysteriously disappeared from their schedule. The first time, I was forced to reschedule on the spot. The second time, they again claimed I wasn’t on the schedule. After I pointed out this was the second time they had made the same mistake, the receptionist simply said they were “extremely busy” but would take my dog anyway. I dropped my dog off at 8:00 a.m. By 2:00 p.m., she still wasn’t ready. Every time I called, I was told, “10 more minutes.” I heard that same response over and over for more than an hour. After the repeated excuses, I drove to the shop myself. What happened next was completely unacceptable. Harry, the owner, became hostile, rude, and started yelling at me. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he angrily grabbed my dog, handed her off, and said, “If she wants her dog, give her the damn dog. Best groomer around! Harry is truly world-class. He and his team are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about their clients. I'm so happy to have found them in the community. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Groom By Harry in Baldwin. On June 1, 2026 my mini golden doodle was injured with grooming shears during service. Harry called me to inform me my pooch had an injury during the grooming service and required medical attention. I was confused at his angry tone towards me. The call was so chaotic, I didn’t even understand what he was saying. I asked him to send a picture in which he did. I called him back to discuss but instead he blamed me for the injury and claimed my dog was misbehaving during the grooming service which caused the injury. I was also told that the injury was my fault because my dog had matting and my previous grooming appointment had been approximately five months earlier. He chastised me as bad dog owner. I was in shock. Totally unprofessional. Insult to injury, when we picked up our dog he abandoned the cut with no regard close shave to torso and rest of hair untouched. My dog was taken to the vet and required sutures to close the wound. I am sharing this so other pet owners do not make the same mistake that I made. I feel bad that I put my dog through this hell. They kept my dogs for FIVE HOURS, then had the nerve to claim my dogs were “extremely matted,” which is flat-out false. My dogs are regularly groomed and absolutely did not require shaving. Instead of listening to what I asked for, they ignored my instructions entirely and shaved my dogs anyway. No communication, no respect, no accountability just excuses after the damage was already done. To make it even worse, they charged me $238 for something I did not ask for and did not want. This was not a misunderstanding this was careless, dismissive service and a total waste of money. I trusted them with my pets and deeply regret it. If you care about your dogs and want groomers who actually listen, go somewhere else.

Update!!! They did it again y’all!! Another successful grooming! Ace comes out looking brand new every time. A neighbor in my complex recommended Groom by Harry and I think we finally found our forever groomer! My fur baby was happy didn’t seem to be in any distress and he even waited till I got there to hold him for a part that he wouldn’t stay still for! The experience was great! As a first time dog mom I was more than pleased with the service! Booked our next appointment right there and then! Thanks so much guys!
