I had a really positive experience with Dago’s three-week training program. Now that he has been home for a while and I’ve had the opportunity to work with him myself, I can truly see how much the training helped him. Dago is a very sensitive dog and has struggled with reactivity toward both dogs and people, so I knew going into training that this wasn’t something that would simply disappear overnight. What I appreciate most is that the program gave him a much stronger foundation in obedience, while also giving me the tools and a better understanding of how to handle him, communicate with him, and support him when he becomes reactive. He is still reactive at times, and we definitely still have work to do, but there has been a noticeable improvement in his obedience and in my ability to manage situations that were much more difficult for us before. I feel more confident understanding his behavior, recognizing when he is becoming overwhelmed, and knowing how to respond. One of the biggest things I’ve learned through this process is that training doesn’t end when your dog comes home. Especially with a sensitive and reactive dog like Dago, consistency is extremely important. I know

Absolutely loved my experience with this training program. My 10-month-old Shetland Sheepdog puppy Chase, came in with a lot of energy and some stubborn habits, and I’ve seen such a positive change. Andrew who started off training Chase for his 4 1-hour sessions was patient, knowledgeable, and really took the time to explain why things work, not just what to do. Chase also had a chance to train with David in the day training program. David was incredibly patient and tailored everything to my puppy’s personality and energy level. What I appreciated most was how much they involved me in the process—teaching me how to reinforce the training at home. The turnover lesson at my house was a huge help especially since Chase listened very well at the facility and then once he got home it was a different story. I’ve seen a huge improvement in focus, listening, and overall behavior not only outside but inside too. It’s made daily life so much easier and more enjoyable. Worth every penny. Literally couldn’t have done this without them. Thank you!!

We brought in our dog for evaluation and help with boarding and had a really amazing experience. Andrew was so attentive and cared for our dog like if it was his. When our dog was finished with training, he was so well trained and it was helpful the time we spent with Andrew to learn how to keep on helping our dog with his training. Amazing place and recommending it to everyone around us. Worth it 100%

We are so happy to have found the Good K9 Academy! After completing the 2 week board & train program, our corgi is now turning heads with how eagerly she follows commands like "heel" and a sustained "place" ! The pack walks for alumni are a highlight! When we needed to board our corgi, we knew our pup would be in the best hands. Caroline possesses a rare combination of expertise and kindness that makes dogs feel safe and eager to learn. She also made long-distance flights with our corgi possible by teaching us to train her to feel safe in her travel carrier bag, ensuring a positive travel experience. I highly recommend the Good K9 Academy!

I signed my Australian Shepherd dog named Lupo up for the drop off week session with Good K9 Academy. I was highly impressed with how well Andrew the trainer did with my dog. My dog had several bad habits, such as jumping up on people and counter surfing, which he no longer does. He also learned several commands, the most important of which is heel and stay in one position. I would recommend Good K9 Academy to anyone who’s looking for a good dog training facility.
