What a delightful way to escape a tropical storm! We fled Houston on a threatening Monday night, checked into our sumptuous 9th floor rooms, and proceeded to enjoy the remainder of the week in this clean, luxurious, hospitable resort. We combined dining on property with ventures into this surprisingly charming town for local cuisine. When it came time to check out on Friday, we didn't want to leave. That's the mark of a great experience. The only ding keeping service from earning 5 stars: We called for housekeeping three times during our stay to make up our room. On the first try, we received fresh bath linens only; the trash wasn't even emptied. Second try, the regular coffee was delivered, but nothing else. On the third and final try, they did everything normally done when a hotel room is cleaned.

I recently stayed at this hotel for three days and had a mixed experience. The check-in process was excellent. It was quick, efficient, and the representative who assisted me was knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. They made for a great first impression. Unfortunately, my experience at Lillies Restaurant was very disappointing. The bartender who took my order appeared distracted and unprofessional. She didn't write my order down, which resulted in part of my order being incorrect. In addition, one of the sushi rolls I ordered was prepared completely differently from the description on the menu. The hotel room and overall amenities also need improvement. The sliding doors to both the bathroom and balcony were extremely difficult to open and close, making them frustrating to use. Several lights in the room were not working throughout my stay. I also discovered that the coffee maker had not been properly cleaned. After making a cup of coffee one morning, I noticed a nasty white, cloud-like substance floating in it, making it obvious the machine had not been adequately maintained. One day, the water was shut off from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. without any advance notice to guests.

Beautiful resort with a fun, lively atmosphere. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The casino floor has plenty of games, the restaurants serve great food, and the pool area is one of the best around. Overall, a great place to relax, eat, and enjoy a weekend getaway!

This was my first time to this casino. I have been to many casinos before. When I signed up for a players club card and asked what the welcome bonus was, I was told there is none. They want to see how you play (AND HOW MUCH YOU LOSE) before they will give you any sort of comp AND you have to wait 30 days before they will email you. Now for a casino that is trying to draw people from Texas to come to their casino, I would expect much better comps and perks. No to mention I didn't see anyone winning. I watch someone drop $3,000 dollars in a 10 dollar machine and it was gone in less than half an hour. Talk about fixing the machines. Glad I didn't play any. The poker room, though small was pretty good for the size, though again the promotion they had running didn't favor the players at all. Only 2 qualifying high hands in a six hour period. I had to wait almost 2 hours before I could even play. Like I said I been to many many casinos and this one falls short of being an entertaining place to play. I will try Coushatta Casino see if they are any better. I can see from their billboard they already have a nice promotion for Fathers Day!!
