We had a truly great experience with Gold Rush Dog Tours! The scenery here is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush green mountains and snow-melt waterfalls. We lucked out with perfect weather—cool, dry, and beautiful. The staff really made the trip special. Our tour driver, Olivia, was super friendly, funny, and incredibly informative on the way in. Our musher, Kasey, was absolutely rad and shared so much cool information with us about the dogs. A major highlight was getting to hold the adorable puppies! Highly recommend this tour if you're visiting Juneau!

We were greeted warmly by Earl E. Bird, just steps off of our cruise, and enjoyed the gold rush knowledge and lively commentary he shared during our tour. During the dog tour portion, Theresa shared engaging anecdotes about her experience running the Iditarod race over many years. Seeing the demonstration of the sled dogs training ground was super interesting, and, of course, the puppies were so cute and cuddly. I'd highly recommend this tour excursion during your visit to Skagway.

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Gold Rush Dog Tours in Skagway and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Peter and Theresa are extremely knowledgeable and clearly care a great deal for their dogs. It’s also obvious that the dogs love what they do. They got so excited when they knew they were getting ready for a run! Of course, seeing the puppies was a highlight as well. The entire experience was very educational and a lot of fun!!

Omg, we had the BEST Time! Our group was intimate, allowing us plenty of time to ask questions and spend as much time as we wanted with the dogs. It was incredible. We went with our 7 yr old and immobile grandpa. The drivers were so kind and made it a fun experience for all of us. The mushers and team onsite at the tour were amazing and so friendly. 10/10 reccomend the experience. We will definitely be back and will cheer on the mushers in thier next race :)

What an awesome experience! If you're a dog lover and need your fix while traveling, this is the place to do it. These mushers and staff obviously care very much for these dogs and I learned a lot about the sport of dog sledding. We went on a short ride and did a meet and greet with our dog team when we were done. And...puppies! 10/10 recommended when in Juneau.
