This beauty school has a record of perfect score reviews and now that I've been there I can confirm. This is a real Gem in Midland. They have high quality instruction and help each be successful. I recently had the fortune of being helped by Marissa and Julio at Glam Beauty Academy Midland, and I genuinely don’t have enough words to express how grateful I am. I came in after hours, the shop was already closed, and despite that, Marissa still took the time — with no hesitation — to give me a haircut. Not only was she incredibly skilled (even working with low-battery clippers and scissors only), but she refused to take any payment because I’m a college student. (Of course I insisted on paying) That level of selflessness and heart is rare though. And Julio, her husband — who doesn’t even work at the salon, he’s a butcher. He literally drove me home and back just so I could grab my own razor, all because the shop didn’t have any equipment ready that late. Who does that? These are two of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. Even with all the obstacles — no equipment, dead razors, after-hours — Marissa still gave me an amazing haircut and made me feel completely at home. The whole experience reminded me there are still good people in the world, and these two are the definition of going above and beyond.
