Juneau is in Alaska, where long summer days and dark cold winters set the rhythm of business; many seasonal operations run only from May to September, so call ahead outside the summer. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Juneau follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The only place in town I get my hair and beard trimmed. Both Gerry and Gerry Jr are phenomenal, quick, and attentive. Never gotten a bad haircut, and the conversations are always fun.

I'm never going back. The owner, or dad, or whoever brings me back and I ask for a mid taper fade. Simple, right? Instead, I get the worst taper I’ve ever had. I went to Coastie Cutters 3 weeks earlier and was satisfied, but they were closed this time, so I gave this place a shot. Mistake. I admit I asked for the same cut, but the look he gave me made it seem like I’d just asked for a damn liberty cut. Newsflash: I didn’t come here to be judged, I came for a haircut. When I asked if he’d ever cut a modern mullet, he launched into some tired speech about cutting hair for 37 years. Cool story, but the cut was uneven, poorly faded, and honestly might have made future cuts harder to fix. If you don’t know how to do a cut, or don’t want to, just say so. I’ll respect honesty over a botched job every time.

I just want to say if you are black you may not get service here. I was referred to this place by a co-worker who is always put together, I decided to go I was told by the barber he does not do lineups which I knew that was a lie so I didn't make a scene and just left. He is a Phillipino I think but it was a little troubling for me that experience happened by another minority. If you are black this may not be a place to go for you. He probably will turn you down. I will save you the trouble. It’s his business so I guess it is what it is
