They really care for the animals in their facility. I saw first hand how they talked to the two dogs I was picking up, so calm and gentle. I was there to pick up two pugs to take to DFW Pug Rescue. Another GREAT organization in our North Texas area!

A great experience. Me and my two dogs attended a vaccination clinic only one of my dogs was behind on her shots. She received all of her shots including rabies for $10 both were microchipped for free. It shows the city of Garland truly cares about the residents and their pets. Also had donated items being offered for free like dog toys some dog food leashes collars harnesses. So far I believe that they're doing this once a month sometime in the middle definitely check with animal services. Everybody was so polite

I am a little bias about animal shelters, it is so difficult to work at a shelter, my thanks to the people that answer the call. Garland Animal Shelter and Adoption is a very clean and spacious facility. It was my first time at this shelter. The staff was friendly and helpful, I was there picking up a dog for Cody's Friends Rescue. I was in and out very quickly and I really did appreciate that, it was Friday afternoon and the traffic was already horrendous. The dog that I picked up was supposed to go to a foster but they could not take her in until the next morning. She was a great companion as I finished my errands. Her name is Tina, but I called her Velcro she would not leave my side. If you are in the market for a dog, Garland Animal Shelter is worth the trip. You won't be disappointed.

Picked up my recent foster here and this was the most clean facility I have ever been in. Seems like they take good care of the pets and had several volunteers there training to help staff! The front desk guy was super nice, patient and helpful!

I recently adopted a wonderful GSD (Ava) at the Garland shelter. The workers were great, allowing us time to bring our other dog in for a meet and greet. The description posted on the web page was spot on. They made the foster to adoption process extremely easy. She is an absolute joy and has brought a lot of happiness to our home.
