About Furrytails Pet Spa
Your pet is unique, and we treat them that way.
Furrytails Pet Spa is a pet groomer in Gretna, Louisiana. It is listed at 1124 Huey P Long Ave, Gretna, LA 70053, which places it among the local businesses of Gretna that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In Gretna, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Louisiana, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–5 pm. It is closed on Monday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Gretna is in Louisiana, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Gretna follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I took my puppy mr Thor to Furrytails Pet Spa to get groomed today. I cannot say enouph how pleased I am with the job they did! He got the best haircut he has ever had and looks fantastic!! I totally would recommend them for Pet Grooming and will definitely be a repeat customer!! I admittedly paid a little more than I normally would but it was well worth it!! Great place! This was my first time trying this place and HIGHLY DO MOT RECOMMEND!!! My dog was scheduled to have a bath, brush and blow dry. NO CUTS AT ALL! I dropped him off at 0845 and received no updates until 4pm when it was time to pick him up. I called around noon to get an update and it took three calls for anyone to pick up the phone and still no one said anything about a cut! Arrived to pick him up and my dog is completely SHAVED!!! the girl stated he had a few mats. I brushed my doodle the night before for this reason and cut him 2 weeks ago his hair was not even long enough to become matted which was the reason I DID NOT want a cut. Not only is he shaved but shaved POORLY AT THAT. Honestly, it’s lazy ! Not only lazy but no communication was had prior to it. No one called to notify me. He is also clipped and bleeding on his balls. Very unprofessional ! $60 for a poorly done job ! I have asked to be contacted by owner/manager to discuss this. Will keep updated on how this situation is handled.

Highly highly recommend this place!! I took my six month goldendoodle puppy here, her first time at the groomer, and they did an AMAZING job!! Exactly what I asked for! I’ll attach before and after photos, all for only $70! (I know it’s cheaper for smaller dogs too). Can’t recommend this place enough!

We didn't realize how much our new little rescue dog had grown out in the 6 months we'd had her, but when she was groomed she looked like a different dog! Her coat was trimmed and shamppoed and was so soft and yummy smelling! Her breath even smelled good for several days! Mouth and ear care, shampoo, trim, claws trimmed... it was well worth the price!!
