About Fur and Feathers Luxury Pet Resort

Locally owned and operated by a licensed veterinary technician, we give friendly service to you and compassionate care to your furry and feathery family members.
Fur and Feathers Luxury Pet Resort is one of the pet groomers listed in Bakersfield, California. The business is registered at 408 21st St, Bakersfield, CA 93301; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–7 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Bakersfield is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Bakersfield is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I will sing this place's praises for the rest of my life! Please note that this location is SEPARATE from the location on Allen and having experience with both, I would only recommend the Mill Creek location (downtown). My dog is slightly reactive, but the staff here is so amazing that they took the time to understand her triggers and what dogs she can/cannot be with. I feel complete peace of mind when I leave her for daycare and boarding. Instead of feeling like the staff is constantly turning over, I see the same faces every time I'm there and I trust them completely. They are the most amazing and kind people, and will do their best to make your pet happy. My dog will literally sit in front of her leash every morning, hoping that I will pick it up and take her to daycare. 10000/10

Absolutely amazing! An unexpected health situation required my dogs to have to stay here for an extended time. I could occasionally come and visit as my health allowed and I was always welcomed. My dogs always looked good smelled good, not perfumed but clean, very happy to see me and just as comfortable to be where they were. The dogs loved the handler's and though I may have been a little jealous, I was more re grateful that my kids were happy!!! My 9yr old travelled with me almost constantly and the 3 yr old, well, she was okay as long as here big sister was with her. I'M SO GRATEFUL to Sarah and her entire group for the dedication and love they have given to my "KIDS" (they are they only version of children I've ever had) during this very trying time. Bless all of you. Thank you Cathy

The staff here is awesome! I've been going for years with different dogs for different purposes (grooming, nail trim, boarding, water therapy) and I completely trust them with my dogs. They're very caring and careful. Between Thurman Vet and this place for all my pets needs, I am always pleased and my dogs are happy.

I'm so glad I came across this place! I was a little nervous at first as this was our first time ever leaving our husky for a whole week. We weren't sure how she was going to react and we were afraid she was going to think we abandoned her or something. Well I was wrong! She had the best time and made new friends and she behaved so well! They sent me a picture of her every other day and would let me know how she's doing. When we picked her up it was almost like she never missed us! She came to say hi to us and wanted to go back inside to play with her new friends. Lol!! We will definitely bring her back next time we go to Southern Cali for vacation. Thank you Fur and Feathers for taking good care of Stormy! 💕
