We cannot say enough good things about Frederick Veterinary Center and the exceptional care they have provided to our dogs. our dogs and puppies are a huge part of our lives, so choosing a veterinarian we can truly trust is extremely important to us. From our experiences with Frederick Veterinary Center, we have always been impressed by the professionalism, knowledge, compassion, and attention given to our dogs. A very special shout-out to Dr. Hooman Pooya. We are incredibly grateful to have a veterinarian like him caring for our Dobermans. He is knowledgeable, thorough, patient, and genuinely cares about the animals in front of him. He takes the time to listen, explain his recommendations, answer our questions, and make sure we understand everything before we leave. What we appreciate most is the confidence and peace of mind that comes from knowing our dogs are in capable hands. Whether it is routine care, health examinations, or something requiring extra attention, Dr. Pooya has consistently treated our dogs with the same level of care and respect we would hope for. I just recently moved to the Frederick area and started bringing my pets to The Frederick Veterinary Center starting June, 2026. From my first visit, the entire staff was welcoming, kind, and warm. The reception crew was polite and friendly. The vet technicians treated all my pets like they were their own and they ensured that the health and safety of my animals were their priority. Dr. Pooya and Dr. Yousef are absolutely the best vets I have ever met. I’ve had animals all of my life and spent time in the military as a k9 handler working around veterinarians, and I can say that Drs. Yousef and Pooya are the absolute best. The knowledge and passion that they have for their craft is amazing and truly shines. The energy and caring they give to the animals they do that as if they were their own. Just recently I have had to put one pet down and have surgery on another. They showed compassion, care, kindness and understanding when we had to put our pup down; and when it came to the surgery, they showed the same and then some with professionalism, caring, follow up and kindness. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Youssef and his entire team. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring. The level of compassion and professionalism they showed made us feel comfortable and confident that our pet was in great hands. Dr. Youssef is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and thorough. His diagnosis was accurate, and the treatment worked almost immediately, providing quick relief and peace of mind. He took the time to explain everything clearly, which helped ease our stress and concerns. Although the clinic is a bit of a drive for us, the exceptional care and expertise make it absolutely worth the trip. Hayden treated Paco like he was her own. He was very afraid, and her compassion and patience made all the difference. I’m also incredibly grateful to Dr. Yusef for taking the time to make sure Paco was comfortable and okay throughout the visit. The entire front office staff showed genuine care and concern for Paco, and I truly appreciated the follow-up call the next day. Exceptional care from start to finish.

The reception staff is lovely and always so kind along with the vet techs. I switched to another vet due to wanting something cheaper and closer but occasionally come back to them for things I need like preventatives and appointments when my other vet is closed. All my animals seem to like the staff but my dog in particular really enjoys the vet techs! Thanks for being so kind to her!
