In Montecito, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in California, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.
Hours are published for 4 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (805) 456-1730. we really wanted to like this place after finding a salon able to take our dog for a walk-in bath on a whim. we needed somewhere to bring our dog for a bath after a morning at the beach. Found the salon and decided to give it a try. The only good thing about this experience was that the groomer was available on short notice. Otherwise I would advise anyone looking for an option to look elsewhere. It was our fault for not asking in advance but when we picked up our dog, the bill was $280. The groomer had a lot of dogs there and we’re not really sure how thoroughly she was cleaned because after picking her up, there’s still sand coming out of her fur! Definitely won’t be returning or recommending.

Jason and his brother worked a miracle on our very senior bengal Cat, Louis. I was worried to drop him off because he is so old and an outdoor cat not leaving our front yard much anymore. I am amazed and what a transformation our furry family member has received. Louis was extremely matted had hard to comb our knots throughout his coat. He is a new man now! They also took pictures of him during to show how relaxed he was receiving his treatment. Thank you Jason and team!

My dog was taken care by Jason for a whole 12 years. I tried taking her to someone else but it was not quite the same. I knew that she was always in great care when I dropped her off. Plus she’d always get so many compliments. Jason and the team were always so welcoming to both me and Evi. Reading the previous reviews is really shocking as temperature was never drastic, having a dog that was very anti social and with a severe collapsed trachea this would’ve been a problem for me but this was never the case.

This salon killed my best friends dog - please do not send your dog here. My best friends family dropped their perfectly healthy and extremely beloved dog Otis off to be groomed and received a call hours later that he had overheated and died locked in a heated cage. No apology, no explanation. Upon arrival the only thing they were told is this is not our fault and to take him away. His temperature was 109 degrees when they brought him to the vet. We are all mourning our Otis and the only thing I can think to do is try and warn others before this happens again.

Our 3 year old healthy french bulldog Otis died at For Paws today. We sent him for a bath and he was dead 3 hours later. The place was so crowded and chaotic, we tried to reschedule but were told not to worry. Otis was left unattended when he overheated and died. Our whole family is gutted. He was our sunshine. Rather than apologize for the tragedy, they repeatedly told us they did nothing wrong. Why is a healthy young dog dead then? The vet said his temperature was over 109 when he arrived there, already deceased. I share this needless tragedy so it doesn't happen to anyone’s beloved pet ever again. I don't want Otis to have died in vain.
