We love the huge truck parking with extra space around us, the variety of ready made foods available at the convenience store, the clean showers and $1.50 washers & dryers! However the restaurant staff is the reason all these diners are dying off, our waitress kept sitting down every chance she got, counting her tips in front of everyone, and was rude. The cook made our Reuben extra crispy so we had it returned. We love everything about this place just needs better restaurant staff that actually care!!

This is a pretty nice and clean Flying J I didn’t get to visit the restaurant And I don’t know what time it opens on Sundays The truck parking lot is huge I came in at 7pm and there was still 3/4 of the lot open Just waiting for more tired drivers The store is good sized and looked pretty stocked up The cashiers were pleasant enough The restrooms were clean and stocked The showers were huge Compared to all the other Flying J/Pilots Water pressure was awesome But I do have a concern about disabled drivers As the showers are upstairs I DONT think this is ADA compliant The laundry room is upstairs as well Beside fuel prices Oh The drivers lounge does not have air conditioning It was quite warm up there tonight

Don't stop here. Worst truck stop ever. People are rude and refuse to refund showers even when they messed up. Have no handicap accessibility for showers. No elevators. Just really steep stairs! Staff is all young kids and don't care about customers at all.

On May 30, 2026 around 8:45PM, I visited a Pilot Flying J location in Rapid City, South Dakota, to fuel my truck. Inside, at the counter, I had to wait a long time, as the staff were just sitting and chatting. They took over half an hour just to count the money. I lost crucial time, which I needed, since my load must be delivered urgently by tomorrow. It’s already difficult to reach the destination from here. In the end, I wonder who the manager of this store is. The employees seem like they are just showing up, spending the hours, and collecting their pay, instead of actually working. These employees need a serious improvement in their dedication. And, the employees should avoid having long personal conversations with drivers, because in this kind of busy environment, everyone has to get to their destination quickly. Personal chats should be done at another time.Thank you

Not impressed. Truck drivers occasionally need emails printed or a fax sent. Part of the job of being a truck driver and every truck stop I've ever been to offers this service for a small fee. Not this place. The service at the diesel desk was totally inept at this regard. So I asked for a manager. And no manager was on site. Strike two. I walked across the street to the new truck stop over there. They were able to accommodate me. It was a bonus because there was no charge for my print fee. Very professional. Experienced. I'll be parking over there. Buying my diesel over there. The parking lot tarmac was much cleaner.
