In Huntsville, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Alabama, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Huntsville is in Alabama, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Huntsville is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Alabama's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had a sedated grooming since our Pomeranian has PTSD. They were very nice to work with and prices very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

We boarded five dogs here for nine nights, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Three of our dogs had just been there a month prior, so we expected a straightforward stay. We were told a few routine shots might be needed, which we understood. However, without clear communication or approval, they proceeded to perform exams, administer additional shots, and run multiple tests. When we picked up our dogs, we were shocked to be handed a bill for over $3,100. At no point were we informed that costs would escalate anywhere near that amount. When we questioned the charges, the response we received was dismissive — we were simply told, “I just work here, everything is expensive now.” There was no transparency, no effort to communicate during the stay, and no accountability when we raised concerns. Boarding your pets should not come with surprise charges and poor customer service. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

If you know me, you know my love for all animals but particularly my dog. I would never take her to any other vet in Huntsville. Almost 10 years now, Flint River vets, associates, groomers, poop scoopers, guys and gals at the desks, those who stay with the pups outside when they play; all friends. All trusted with my baby. Highly recommend the groomer. She works with every breed from the tiny ones to German Shepherds like mine and does an outstanding job!

My husband and I have been taking our babies there since they were born and our other fur baby there up until she passed. I absolutely love the doctors there. However, their groomer is horrible. I think she might be scared of large dogs even if they’re just puppies. I took both of my babies there last Tuesday and paid for sedation for my 1 year old puppy. The groomer was supposed to call me before she got started on him so I could tell her how I wanted him cut. I even brushed him out the day prior to his grooming appointment to make things easier for her. Well, the groomer never called before she started grooming him (which is what she said she would do). When my husband arrived to pick them up, the groomer shaved my boy completely. The groomer’s said he was severely matted and she was trying to hurry before the sedation lifted and he woke up. ( He wasn’t matted because I brushed him the day before and his sedation didn’t wear off for hours after he got home). Let’s now mention how his shave was horrible and so uneven. I’m not understanding why because he was sedated. It seems to me she doesn’t know what she is doing or just doesn’t care. When my husband asked her what happened, on

Our 4 legged buddy has been going there since he was born. Just boarded him for 5 days. They have the best doc and staff. Clean, friendly, reasonable priced, dog go out a lot to play not stuck in kennel all day. Great place that actually care for your animal. Will not go anywhere else.
