Located at 5000 N 23rd St I, McAllen, TX 78504, Fido’s Pet Grooming & Hotel operates as a pet groomer serving McAllen in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. I can’t recommend this groomer enough! They always take such amazing care of my baby, and you can tell they truly love the animals they work with. He comes home looking absolutely adorable, smelling so fresh, and so happy every single time. They pay attention to the little details and treat him like he’s one of their own. Thank you for always making my handsome boy look his best I wouldn’t trust anyone else with him! ❤️🐾

Every time my wife goes she says she gets a lecture on matted hair lol. We understand an extra charge for removing matted hair or knots, some breeds get matted so easily despite frequent brushing. But I don’t think they realize that part of their job is to literally remove knots and help fix matted hair lol. Sure you can think people are being “negligent” with their pups but that’s why they take them to a GROOMER. I mean what do you all think you’re there for? Just for baths and trimmings? lol.. Most people that are constantly taking their dogs to groomers aren’t usually the type that don’t care about their dogs. Having a few knots or some matted hair doesn’t mean automatically become judgmental and feel the need to lecture pet owners. In a perfect world every person would be proactive with their health and maybe we wouldn’t need as many doctors. In that same world pet owners would be perfect and never require grooming services. Save your lectures. Just take a look at how they reply on here at their negative reviews. Tells you all you need to know about them.

I took my pet to Fido’s Pet Grooming and I was very satisfied with the service. They left Luke clean, well groomed, and happy. Even though he had some mats, they did a great job with him. I would definitely come back and recommend them to anyone looking for a good grooming service for their pets

I loved the service I received for my cat. My cat isn’t very fond of strangers so I was nervous about taking her in but the staff was very welcoming and when I told the staff about my cat and my worries they reassured me that they would take good care of her. When I got her back she looked amazing with her trim and it didn’t seem like she had been nervous at all the staff told me at first she did hiss at them but they did everything they could to calm her down and eventually she relaxed and let them get to work. I highly recommend this grooming service. I’ve been telling all my friends and family with pets to go here. 10/10 service definitely will be going back !

The grooming service was impeccable my pet came out clean, well-groomed, which gave me great confidence in the quality of care they provide. I also liked that the facilities look clean and well-organized, which as a pet owner always brings peace of mind I also appreciated that they took the time to listen to exactly how I wanted the haircut and delivered exactly what I asked for, Communication was clear, and the service was punctual❤️❤️
